All in all it was a good experience, my prescriber was good and so was the psychiatrist. Unfortunately waiting times and responses to messages weren't as quick as I'd've liked them to be - I imagine this is because they need to hire more staff for the volume of patients they are taking on. But in general, a positive experience.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased that your experience with our service has been positive, but have noted your comments regarding waiting times and delayed responses to messages. Like many other services across the UK, we are experiencing unprecedented demand for both autism and ADHD assessments. At the end of August we therefore took the decision to temporarily pause our RTC service to provide the additional capacity needed to be able to focus on delivering high-quality care to the patients already registered with us. We will be resuming our service as soon as our capacity opens up.

Psychiatry-UK were very helpful and sensitive to my needs. Their support was perfectly tuned and adequate, and I could ask for nothing more. With their help I have been able to improve my daily life enormously.

Thank you for leaving such a positive review. Our teams really are committed to making the journey through P-UK as responsive and supportive as possible to ensure that every patient receives the high-quality care they need. But it is always extremely rewarding to have this confirmed from the patient’s own perspective. We are really pleased to hear that getting a diagnosis has made such a difference to your daily life.

The experience of using Psychiatry UK was excellent, until I got to the point of them asking my GP to take on shared care, I was told I would be able to order my prescriptions from them, however the previous method by which this occurred was no longer available and I had to send a note to my psychiatrist that was not answered. I then sent a follow up note and this was finally answered by the prescriber who asked me to fill in the confirmation of address form. Which I did, and it appeared that my prescription would be sent out. However, I have not had any word from the pharmacy they use, and have had no medication sent. I have been left without medication and am finding it difficult to get in touch with them to find out what is happening. The method of ordering prescriptions whilst the shared care is sorted out needs sorting out - keeping the method by which more medication was ordered throughout the titration process would be useful. There should also be a way to get in touch for prescriptions that does not take several days to be seen. It is such a shame because up until this point I would have rated everything as excellent and highly recommended it, but this makes me wary of suggesting it as an option to people.

Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We're pleased to see that your experience, prior to the issues you've cited, was excellent. It's disappointing to hear that there was an issue with ordering and receiving your prescription - particularly as this has now impacted your overall experience. We would recommend contacting our Patient Experience team to provide this feedback, in the first instance, so that they can assist with the issue of receiving medication and to help us find areas to improve. To do this, please email experience@psychiatry-uk.com, providing details of your experience, your name, date of birth and email address, so that the team can identify your record.

The staff have always been very polite and helpful with any interactions I’ve had. I got informed regularly of any updates and they responded very quickly to any questions. I have had a good experience with Psych UK and would recommend others. Many thanks.

On the whole I was satisfied with the standard of care and treatment for ADHD/ADD I received from PUK. The thing that I found complicated was the fact that it is virtually exclusively an online service, with the exception of a Zoom consultation that was no face-to-face/IRL interaction. Other than using the on-line portal on the PUK website, there is no phone number or other way of contacting PUK. I managed this fairly well, but people who are not so internet/web savvy may find this difficult. My treatment/Tritation was disrupted because of a separate health issue (there was a spike in Thyroxine Levels after a blood test) which meant that the trialling the Medication I was prescribed was temporally interrupted. I found this frustrating, and the lack of direct communication between PUK and my GP Practice extremely problematic (I was entirely responsible for communication information between them).

Thank you for leaving your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you have been satisfied with the standard of care and treatment received from Psychiatry-UK. As you note, we are an online company: our assessments are delivered via computer, tablet or mobile, and our communications tend to take place via our secure online portal. We recognise that this type of service does not suit everyone, but many of our patients prefer to attend their consultation in the comfort of their own home, and the flexibility of our communication system. For those who prefer not to use our portal, we can be contacted via email or via our support line number: 0330 124 1980. In your particular case, we do understand that being the communication intermediary between P-UK and your GP has been frustrating, but it is vital that all health issues are checked out before patients can start or resume titration.

Long waiting times, which they can't do much about, but good care. Appointment reminders and easy to log in and leave notes, get in contact, review your case.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are pleased to hear that you have found it easy to work with our patient portal, and have received good care during your journey with P-UK. We have, however, also noted your comment regarding wait times. We recognise that many of our patients are having to wait longer than we would like and are taking every measure we can to try to bring our waiting times down. Like many other services across the UK, we are experiencing unprecedented demand for both autism and ADHD assessments. At the end of August we therefore took the decision to temporarily pause our RTC service to provide the additional capacity needed to be able to focus on delivering high-quality care to the patients already registered with us. All staff were were professional and friendly. Excellent, answering the phone promptly and with excellent information. The web site was very good but I could not read my answers on the forms I had to fill in. An excellent service all round.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It is really good to hear that you have found our service friendly and professional, and that you have been able to get the information you need from our website and customer service staff. We note that you had a problem reading the forms you completed. We have recently undertaken a big piece of work to make our forms more user-friendly and more accessible to our patients, as we have learnt from our patient feedback that this is an area some patients struggle with.

I can not fault the service and care provided by Psychiatry UK throughout my engagement with them. The extensive psychiatric assessment initially undertaken was thorough and supportive and was separated into two sessions to ensure I was able to convey everything I needed to. The titration process was incredibly extensive, with credit to my assessor Colleen Hume who is a great asset to the service. I felt as though my concerns were taken with sincerity and helpful responses were returned quicker expected. The titration team was able to provide clear and concise explanations to queries I raised and were great in discussing side effects of medications and how to manage them. In essence, the service provided by Psychiatry UK was what I hoped it would be and I would urge anyone looking into opening a case with them to do so. Highly recommended.

Thank you for your wonderful review. All our teams work hard to ensure that our patients’ experience with P-UK is professional, responsive and supportive, but it is extremely rewarding to have this confirmed from our patients’ own perspective. You have given special praise to your prescriber, and I will make sure that your feedback is passed on to her.

The medical staff were excellent, patient and very very supportive. From the beginning they kept in contact and laid out what to expect and updated me on the waiting times etc... During the treatment and medication, they gave me everything I need to make this journey a success. They do a brilliant job and I hope they can continue to help support the many that need it and more.

I feel like i didnt get to properly explain my difficulties. After a long time waiting for this appointment, the 50 minutes flew by in a structured question/answer like manner: i did my best to answer the questions with enough info but feel like i barely scratched the surfaced and missed out so many important things. I feel like due to being abit anxious and nervous being on camera etc i was almost rambling and waffled quite alot which resulted in me barely getting my experience across to the doctor which in turn meant the doctor couldn't see much of anything wrong. The video and audio were fine. The advice given felt generic and almost dismissive of my symptoms. (It took a lot for me to get to finally speaking to someone and alot of struggle and heartache has led up to this appointment and in the end it felt like a rushed, awkward, formal question/answer interview type experience which ended with a dissappointing outcome of pretty much... "you seem fine"... also just feeling like i havent been heard, i dont feel like i got any personalised help or support but instead given some generic advice/redirecting to another mental health charity / service) The service received from PsychUK is only a 2. The pros are the accelerated waiting times compared to the NHS for similar services however the solely digital nature, rushed interview like appointments and the tickbox like diagnostic process means that patients are likely to be misdiagnosed and end up suffering with a great deal of stress as a result. Some will likely not seek help again and the fact that this is their one and only long awaited attempt at trying to get help means that a lot is riding on it yet when the appointment comes round its a generic seemingly rushed encounter that in the end felt like a waste of the wait leading to it.
