Recently I have been to the Wakefield branch a number of times with my grandaughter as she has both contact lenses and glasses. I always find the experience a very pleaasant experience and the staff are very approachable and really seem to enjoy what they do . Right from the first point of contact at the desk through to the final purchase the service was a pleasure . The Optometrist Naela was very friendly and kept us informed at all stages of the examination . We were handed over to a member of the team who was there to explain the recommendations given . Every one through the process was lovely . I can't remember all the names but I did get a member of staff to write down some of the people involved . So thank you Naela , Sally , Denise , Tasneem , Sara , Micheal , Karen ,Lisa and Sauce . The service was first class and we will be back .

I SAW ADAM AND HE WAS LOVELY. HE WAS VERY CARING AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING VERY CLEARLY. MEGAN HELPED ME TO CHOOSE NEW FRAMES AND SORTED THE PRESCRIPTION AND SHE WAS EQUALLY LOVELY. I ALSO LIKED THAT EVERY THING WAS DOUBLE CHECKED. I HAVE BEEN ATTENDING THIS OPTICIANS FOR YEARS AND SHALL CONTINUE TO SO DO.

Wakefield Northgate Boots opticians AVOID and look for an alternative opticians as the service, communication and quality control here is poor on all fronts. After arriving to collect the glasses that I had ordered after the agreed two weeks I was told that they were damaged and that nobody could have inspected them before putting them out for collection which I accepted as I was told that this would be looked into and they would get back to me on the matter and my replacements would be here within a week. After nearly a further two weeks NO FEEDBACK at all regarding the internal investigation into the damaged glasses and NO COMMUNICATION regarding any delays with the replacements, I had to phone them on a number of occasions and still received no delivery date. After getting nowhere I had no alternative then to go into store for a refund and take my business elsewhere. Boots, you used to be much better that this and need to get your act together before you lost the publics confidence in your service and you become another high street chain of the past.

Review on behalf of my elderly mum - she was treated extremely well by optician Sunny. As a result her vision is much improved and her life is a lot easier. All staff were kind and respectful and Mum enjoyed her visits.

My appointment never actually happened ...I was called an hour before my appointment to rearrange a time due to having to cancel my appointment. This was extremely frustrating and a waste of my time. I had to take time off to attend my appointment which is a financial loss to me, and didn’t even get my eyes tested. After receiving several letters asking me to make an appointment and having done so you can imagine how upset I was to get an answer phone maessage cancelling my appointment. What made this worse was that I had booked this appointment weeks ago. It seems the branch aren’t very organised or professional. I didn’t have a great experience with my last appointment but figured as I’d had my eyes tested at Boots previously it would be easier to go back. I spent a lot of money buying thinned lenses for my frame and an expensive frame on my last visit, but had to go back twice to get them fitted properly. Each time the staff weren’t exactly helpful and blamed my face shape. I bought the particular frame with the help of an assistant who explained that these frames would be right for me but yet to be convinced. Having to wear glasses all the time I need my glasses to fit and be good quality. These glasses I’ve had to percivere with and make do with. I thought boots would be reputable and provide good service. The whole experience has left me most frustrated and upset.
