Boots Opticians Stockton-On-Tees

I have been with Specsavers for many years and I have been overall very happy with their excellent service they provided. However, the finance issues with contact lenses were not acceptable any more, I therefore decided to switch to Boots in Stockton to obtain a better service. I am happy with the consultation, however it is hard to get through to them over the phone and communication with staff is poor and I had to wait for my repeat prescription of my contact lenses a lot longer than expected due to human errors which could have been rectified in advance. Customer service is not satisfactory as branch is small and struggling to respond to phone calls or text customers for outcomes. Also my optometrist is absent for long periods which means I have to see another member of staff and explain issues. Not always appropriate. I will give it a go with Boots but if no improvement, I will go back to Specsavers as they had better access to customer services and care. Thank you

I had a great experience at Boots opticians in Stockton. All of the staff were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I live in Darlington and have stopped using Boots opticians in Darlington because of poor customer service. I like to take my time choosing glasses, and in the Darlington store the staff member who was meant to be assisting me was clearly frustrated, and at one point even rolled her eyes at me. The Stockton store was such a contrast. The staff member helping me was so patient and made the experience of choosing glasses enjoyable. I will definitely be using this branch again.

Polite, professional and efficient staff.

Extremly understanding staff. Made me feel very comfortable. My eye test showed eyes hadn't changed since last test, there was no pressure to change glasses, which was nice.

Only issue was it 8days to get glasses
