Boots Opticians Southend - High Street

My wife had a problem with her glasses going all crack up in sunlight ,the optician who tested her eyes remarked about the lenses and my wife said they go like this all the time outside .We left it to try and get a nice sunny day to make our complaint but it fell on deaf ears. Because we were slightly out of the guarantee boots would not budge 1 inch and was told one day over and they won't do anything , i said i have had glasses over the years from them and other opticians and this has never happened to me and they said more or less you have had then 2 years what do you expect. I said to Boots they have lost 2 customers and told bluntly these glasses are not fit for purpose.

Superb service. Fitted me in for an urgent appointment with little notice. Highly appreciated and highly recommended

No problem with lenses or care ,but waited forty minutes to order new lenses and was told that they had a new system for the computer and this was the reason they were so slow.however I had to leave due to car parking and so left without being able to place my order. I now have to go back into town again pay for parking again and hope not to have to wait for a second time so I unfortunately not happy with the service I have received on this occasion. Better if l could order and pay online

Was told I was due both my contact lenses check & eye test so I booked both at the same time but when I arrived I was told my eye test wasn’t due.

The store was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Optometrist was thorough and had a very pleasant manner.
