Boots Opticians Ripon

Mine and my wife's experience at Boots in Ripon was very calm and pleasant. The staff were polite and courteous. We were recommended to Boots by family members and would certainly recommend them to friends and family.

Did not feel like I was on a conveyor belt as I have had bad experiences from spec savers and on one occasion they called me a liar because my prescription was wrong and I did not give proper answers to the eye test which was incorrect

The optician was amazing with children. Alfredo is a credit to your company

My optometrist was absolutely brilliant! He was very clear on what he was doing and explained things thoroughly.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

Needed varifocals this time. Assistant was very helpful and went through all the options of different types of lenses. Helped me choose frames which suited me.

The store manager and optician were very efficient and caring and I felt in good hands, the more junior member of staff was obviously new (?) and still learning.

The appointment was straightforward, and staff very nice. I was persuaded to have varifocals which, when they were made up, were disorientating and very unpleasant. I took them back within the agreed time and separate reading and long distance glasses were made up. On collection, the reading glasses were far too strong a prescription and are now being redone after a new eye test. The long distance glasses are not great either and I am now concerned that they are not the right prescription either. I have spent over £500 and have no confidence at all that I have, or am going to get the correct glasses, nor that mu prescription is so much different to before, meaning I could simply have stuck with the glasses I already have. Very unsatisfactory.
