Boots Opticians Swindon - Brunel Plaza (in Boots)

I have got eye check up with clear understanding but the prescription was not readable as it was with lots of correction. Options for glasses starting at 50 pounds which are really not good neither lots of options were available. Hence, I have given specs order with someone else. But when I have received the specs, I found its was heavy number, hence I have visited Boots to cross check the glasses with prescription today i.e.15-Jan-2019. But the executive from Boots strait away denied to check it and post that he was telling that you might have done the eye checkup free. I have to stop him and informed him that I have paid 25 pounds for my eye checkup. Then he said pay 50 pound which is not a big amount rather than playing with your eyes. My question to the Boots team is that does it really take that much of time to cross check the prescription with glasses? He could have stop giving free nonsense advice and compare the prescription and glasses. I have taken that prescription and glasses to Specs Savers and they have done the cross check. Hence, BIG NO to Boots henceforth.

I'm really surprised you have sent me this survey I have complained on twitter about the fact boots opticians never answer the phone and there is no voicemail or email, makes dealing with you really difficult

Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the process. Only complaint you share a room with another customer when doing the initial tests. This means confidential information is shared openly. Could be more private.

I was very impressed with the whole experience and would happily recommend Boots to friends looking for any type of eye care. With regard to the question about the name of the Optometrist even if they told me their name it is highly unlikely that I would remember it - I have a poor memory.

I was seen promptly and the optician explained everything she was doing and it was a nice, calm and relaxing appointment. I had the new lenses fully explained to me and the gentleman was very patient with me when I was trying on glasses.

I've always found all of the Boots Opticians and assistants very helpful, although it was difficult to get an appointment this time due to them being very busy. This may be because it's the holiday season and a few of the opticians may have been on holiday etc.

somewhat delicate. The room where the eye test was carried out was rather fragrant. Mix of body odour and spicy food. After 5 minutes or so I became accustomed. But unpleasant nevertheless. Appreciate this is not an easy subject to broach.
