I actually enjoyed my visit today. The optometrist was thorough and we talked about the health of the eyes and felt really reassured. Back in the shop, I had the help of Karen to choose new glasses and as usual she was spot on and totally honest. It’s a ten out of ten from me. Nothing is too much trouble.

I took my wife into Boots Opticians in Newton Abbot a few weeks ago to help her sort out a problem with the lens in her glasses. Laura got involved, made a decision, cleared up the problem relating to the glasses and dealt with what could have been a difficult situation. I was extremely impressed with her professionalism, her understanding and her calm yet efficient manner. Today, I have been in to try and sort out a problem with the prescription for my contact lenses - Alison dealt with me, she had pre ordered some new lenses to try, discussed the differences in price and quality - totally open and fully supportive. Again, totally professional, knowledgeable and dealt with the issue without any fuss in a calm and pleasing manner. The whole team at Boots Opticians are great - soooo impressed - well done team !

Jenny was extremely professional, gentle and helpful. She explained everything she was doing in plain English. Karen did my pre exam and was very good. Janet sorted out my glasses and listened to my needs and enabled me to choose what I wanted. All in all a very good experience.

The optometrist I saw was Margaret Davis who was very professional and answered ll my queries clearly. Janet and Karen are very friendly and helpful - they have a wealth of professional knowledge and advice. Choosing new frames is always so difficult but I was not put under any 'sales' pressure just allowed the time to browse, try, question and choose. In the end I opted for the Ziess driving lenses. Have picked them up today and again Karen was on hand to fit and check that all was in order. Thank you. Avery satisfied customer.

Would have liked eye test and contact lens test on the same day

All aspects of my eye tests for both glasses and contact lenses were covered thoroughly. Everything was explained and carried out in a friendly and professional manner. When choosing and collecting my glasses June and Karen are so helpful, they make sure that you are not rushed and give positive advice without the hard sell. All in all everyone is really pleasant and helpful and your eye health is checked thoroughly. i wish doctors appointments were as reassuring.

I have to say, from the outset, the visit to get my eyes tested at Boots Newton Abbot could not have gone better. As an ME sufferer, any trip out can be problematic, especially if waiting times go on longer than expected - but my test was right on time, swiftly completed and everyone involved could not have been more efficient and helpful, and a delight to be with. Nothing was too much trouble and I will have no qualms about any return visits.

Contact lenses were not discussed because I had made it clear I wanted glasses, however all of my other concerns were discussed to my satisfaction. Janet was most helpful in assisting me in choosing my frames.
