Lovely helpful staff - i hadn't been for an eye test for a long time due to anxiety but the staff were so lovely it really put my mind at rest. They also made sure to apply student discount to the cost of my glasses even though i hadn't realised it was available.

Had to pay for the prescriptions even I was over 60, and 9 months later I had to have another eye test due to constant ache behind my left eye. Instead of going back I chose Spec Savers where they carried out a thorough examination and offered glasses to suite my budget.

The staff seemed more interested in chatting to each other and doing each others make up than customers.glasses adjustments were disgusting seemed staff were untrained in this art.

A full eye examination including pressure and field tests owing to glaucoma in the family. The optician explained why this was done and what the results indicated. For the first time in years I was experiencing some problems with my eyes. The optician advised me what was causing it and recommended what I could do to eliminate the problem. Advice followed and all well now.

The staff are always very friendly but the optermetrist was late and she dealt with a lady who wasn't even there when I checked in. No apology. Used boots for many years but might change now

Care at Boots is brilliant.

I specifically asked for Ruth as she always gives a thorough check and is very friendly and approachable and gives clear advice. The other team member who took eye measurements and helped choose my frames was also very friendly and helpful. I cannot fault the service, only the costs, I could find similar glasses much cheaper elsewhere.

For the first time ever I was given a service that was genuine, I was told what did and did not suit my face and the reason why. I had all of the options regarding varifocal lenses and how they differed and was put under no pressure to buy - I bought the best and was happy to pay extra because of the level of care and honesty of the optometrist

Staff were friendly but I wasn't offered much advice on if I really needed new glasses

Everything about my eyesight was explained really well.
