Daughter has worn glasses for six years and they are replaced every year. The ones provided by Boots have been the worst, sub-par product bought in that time. Been into the store today as the leg had broken off for the third time and was told that they are five days past warranty so I should just buy new ones. At no point in the times I have had to take the glasses back for fixes have I been offered replacements in line with the warranty. I asked for a copy of her prescription as a new test would be done at a different opticians as I will not be using Boots again for my family's eyecare. I had to wait twenty minutes for this to happen. Just a paltry service with no warranty back up.

Tried for an hour to make an appointment, on the national line and directly, but no one answered the phone.

I booked my appointment for a Sunday morning for them opening I showed up and was told they had cancelled my appointment because it wasn’t worth the option coming in because I was the only one booked in. I tried to complain but the staff were rude never apologies!

My complaint is about one particular lady, an assistant. To say my visit was surreal is an understatement. She confused me with someone else, when I’d just walked in off the street to have my glasses adjusted, she argued the toss that I had an appointment and I needed new glasses then accused me of sitting on my glasses when I’d come to have them simply adjusted for being loose. She would not stop arguing with me. In fact I only had them adjusted there two weeks ago and they’d not felt right since. I do not sit on my glasses, or wear them on my head and I did not like her attitude. I won’t be coming back to this store for future opticians appointments or to purchase glasses which is a shame really, as my initial visit last year was excellent and the care top notch.

Was seen to as soon as I arrived just before my appointment time. Was kept informed of everything that was going on and what would be happening next. Then was shown to select glasses and staff were very helpful and giving me different options available to me.

The staff were really friendly and Sarah helped me with a number of requests - replacing nose pads with smaller one for discomfort I was having/ sorting out my new contact lenses scheme and helping and recommending purchase of prescription sun glasses with some good additions. Now all my eye needs are sorted and I can look forwards to wearing my new sun glasses on holiday in a few weeks without having to put contacts in.
