I attended as a walk in with a prescription from another optometrist. Despite this, on arrival I was met by Megan who showed me the ranges of glasses and helped me to be aware of special offers available to me. After choosing 3 pairs of glasses, I was taken into a private area by Nicola( Nikky) who was extremely kind and attentive. Unfortunately the sunglasses chosen were out of stock and due to time restraints for car parking I had to leave. Nikky put the glasses aside until I was able to return. After returning home I received a phone call to tell me that Nikky had located a pair of the sunglasses for me so completed the order and payment over the telephone. The device I received was second to none and the 2 delightful members of staff I dealt with had gone above and beyond my expectations. They are a credit to Boots Opticians in Newark! Thankyou so much

There is a lovely calm feeling in Boots opticians, Newark-on-Trent. I am always welcomed politely and my appointment is always started on time. The staff are pleasant and gentle, they don't rush you and they are very thorough. Privacy is provided for your eye exam. I have never been put under pressure to buy new glasses from them, but I would when the time comes because their care is so good. I am very glad I found this opticians.

went to Boots Opticians for a sight test and purchase glasses, a very warm welcome and very friendly staff, Laura the optometrist and Nicki were excellent at their jobs, always great attention to detail. All the staff are very good and a great experience was had.Thank you.

I have used this branch of Boots opticians for years now. I have always had varifocals. However this last time will be my last. I have been back twice to say that I cannot see properly out of my glasses. It is as if the lenses aren't in the right place and I have to keep moving my glasses around to see anything properly. They tried bending them about last time and the assistant put their fingers all over lenses and gave them back to me and asked if I could see any better. When I asked if they would clean the lenses they just got a tissue and wiped them. So I will go back and have it out with them for the last time then use a totally different opticians.

All the staff in the shop are very good Nikki was excellent and always looks after us. The Optometrist was a young lady and explained every thing to me. I've ordered a new pair of office glasses

I had visited several weeks before with my daughter and had excellent care by a lady called nicki who was fantastic. On the last occasion with my son we were checked in by a trainee. I was not asked to fill in any forms or sign anything. He did not get any pre checks on the machines prior to seeing the optician. I felt the test was very short and rushed. My son was given a prescription but no one came to help us choose glasses so we waited then I told the trainee that we were leaving to get his glasses elsewhere. She did not give us the voucher so after choosing glasses at a nearby opticians, I had to return and ask for it. I spoke to another staff member to say that I had not been asked to fill in any paperwork or sign anything so she got me to sign the form that I should have done earlier. I was very disappointed with the service and feel that the trainees should be supervised better. Not the treatment that we have experienced previously at this store.

My experience at Boots Opticians Newark. All aspects were conducted in a professional manner, the optometrist confirm her findings throughout the test. The branch staff were also very good and informative, no issues.

All staff to wear name badges - the staff are very friendly but it would be good to know who you are interacting with and their role. Prevent non urgent interruptions by support staff when a consultation is in place.
