Boots Opticians West Bridgford

Extremely difficult to reach this branch by telephone to make an appointment as they NEVER appear to pick up up the phone! I was therefore forced to make an appointment via the central appointments team who, unsurprisingly, couldn't reach the branch either. I would definitely avoid this branch but unfortunately I would have to travel some distance to use a different branch.

No consistency Different optometrist each time with different advice No concept of customer service Was asked to come early for second appointment so lenses I was trialling could settle Arrived and sat waiting Staff busy chatting Then called in by optometrist and asked to put in lenses and then .... to leave them to settle Was asked why I hadn't opted for dailies as they have lower infection risk and more convenient but these had not been offered at last appointment! However to now go for dailies would mean yet two more appointment so 4 in total! So so fed up asked for my prescription as want to leave the scheme and told Yes you've guessed need another appointment before they will let me have it! Boots a perfect example on how not to do things Lots of choice locally, if you value your time go elsewhere!!

Everyone who dealt with me (four different people) were helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant. The optometrist (Richard) was extremely professional and friendly. I will be returning shortly for an extra pair of prescription glasses. I would definitely recommend the West Bridgford Opticians.

absolutely shocking care received for my 5 year old son would definitely not recommend and body taking their children to boots optians in west bridgeford ,firstly they fitted my child with glasses so big for his face that fell off every time he puts his head back on the sofa and fall off all the time as they are just so big and they refused to give him anymore so my little boy will start school in September with glasses that don't fit him all thanks to all the rubbish and unprofessional staff .i took my child to specsavers since and they can't believe that boots had ever let my child walk out the optians with those glasses .all I have to say is don't go there as they are not helpful in anyway and don't know what they are talking about .shocking shocking shocking

I took my mother who has dementia for an eye check and the care she was given was outstanding. She was treated with so much respect. Sometimes the person with dementia is often ignored and attention turns to the accompanying adult but Mum was spoken to like any other customer. Everything was explained clearly and she was dealt with very efficiently. All the staff were brilliant, careing and attentive. When we went back 2 weeks later for her glasses, i took them some cakes & biscuits as a thankyou.

I had a very positive experience from start to finish. Good advice, thorough checks and answered all of my questions honestly. I really felt valued as a customer. Thank you all at Boots West Bridgford.

When we first arrived the lady that spoke to us initially gave me the impression that we shouldn't have been there. I booked the appointment off the back of an email I received from boots telling me as my daughter was turning 3 I should book an appointment for her and just followed the links on the email to do this. However the lady who saw us initially said she didn't know anything about this and I shouldn't be bringing my children until they are a lot older if I didn't have concerns as there wasn't really anything they could do at her age. However the manager Tom was asked to come over and he said his son had been checked at 3.5yrs and that it we could be seen. The optician herself - Zana was absolutely brilliant and turned the whole experience around. She was great with my daughter, use a book with pictures to test her sight and really made us feel welcome and my daughter fully enjoyed the experience. So I would fully recommend based on the final outcome but wasn't impressed the with first lady we spoke to and feel communication should be improved that these emails are being sent out for this age group.
