Lovely straightforward and easy service, nice staff, great glasses

Visited the 'new premises' for Boots Opticians, Lymington today. Lots of money spent however why , after Covid did you install a main entrance door with 'pull' as an instruction on it? Surely, an automatic door should be standard fix? Secondly, it was manic in the entrance area, with one poor guy trying to deal with the que whilst contantly being interruped by one particular person who kept appearing from out the back??? The guy on the reception was really doing his best but he was having to do his own job and another member of staff's queries all at once. Having waited in the que and finally getting my appointment made I came out of there thinking what a shambles. Based on my initial experience I think it possible I may cancel my appointment and make one with a much calmer less manic feel. I preferred the old Boots Opticians ,it felt less like an airport check in area.

Friendly and professional, not hurried and answered all my questions.

Peter the contact lens specialist is brilliant! All other staff friendly and helpful. The only problems is with"Head Office" who frequently mess up sending me reminders for sight / lens care tests. My new lenses arrived in the post before the check up, so if I had needed a change of prescription, they would have been wasted! I was down on the computer to pick them up in branch too! I would say computer system needs total upgrade.I then had both Sight and Lens tests together,this does take a long time, but had allowed for both and choosing new glasses.

These questions are not relevant as I was attending a contact lens check up. Ergo I already wear contact lens. I know the name of my contact lens specialist as I have been seeing him for 30 years and I wouldn't see anyone else.
