This was my first time visiting a Boots opticians. Really impressed... Optometrist had a great sense of humour and made my eye test a lot less boring than my usual Opticians. Didn't feel pressured to buy something I didn't need either! Great service Boots Newport Isle of Wight.

The appointment took nearly 4 hours to book online as I was constantly offered appointments at geographically close options but physically difficult to get to stores. e.g offered appointments in Winchester, Bournemouth etc I live on the Isle of Wight, to get to either of the places offered would involve £50 one hour ferry journey and another 30 minute car journey. I wanted an appointment at Newport Isle of wight only but no option exists to select a single store. The prescription given at the end of the consultation is incorrect as the measurements for reading glasses were placed in the distance row and measurements for distance placed in the near row, which if I hadn't noticed would have resulted in two pairs of useless glasses, readers with concave lenses wouldn't work. This error has made me doubt the whole test, and I am very unlikely to get the prescription filled, I am investigating whether or not I can get an eye test somewhere else before two years has elapsed, if not I will be getting my two and a half year old prescription filled again rather than the incorrect one given by boots.
