The appointment started promptly and was carried out professionally and in a friendly manner.

From making an appointment to the actual eye test and then choosing new glasses afterwards, all the staff were really friendly and helpful. My Optometrist ( A Locum by the name of Jeff) was an amazing man. He kept me informed of what he was doing throughout every stage of my eye test and he gave me lots of advice to follow regarding keeping my eyes healthy for the future. He also explained what my new prescription would mean and how it would help me when I started to wear my new glasses. I was very worried about my bad eye sight and driving at night but Jeff answered all my questions in a very calm and reassuring manner, he was just brilliant! Choosing new glasses is always difficult when you are so short sighted but again the assistant helping me was really patient, I didn't feel rushed in to making a decision and I certainly didn't feel as though she was pushing me to spend lots of money unnecessarily. All in all, I was not looking forward to having my eyes tested and choosing new glasses but have nothing but praise to say of all the staff working at Boots. I will definitely return again in future.

I would highly recommend Boots in Fareham. The optometrist Han is so professional, she explains everything so well, and discusses any worries you may have.

Service was excellent when I got it but waiting times even with an appointment were far too long. The shop felt very crowded like a doctor's waiting room.

The receptionist had made a check up appointment for me without checking the computer properly. I turned up for the appointment, waited over 10 minutes and did the preliminary tests. The Optometrist then called me in and told me I was not due for a checkup until July 2018. She was very pleasant but her time was clearly being wasted. My original visit was to order a pair of replacement variofocals as I had broken my pair.I therefore feel that if my original request had been dealt with properly my time and Boots' time would not have been wasted.

Dreadful service. Had eye test informed I needed glasses. Paid a fearful amount of money and on collection could not see distance in them. Told them straightaway only to be told wear your old ones home. Tried next day blurred vision could not focus. Went back and was told adjustment needed. Complete rubbish I could not see. Arranged another eye test and told the prescription was completely wrong no wonder I could not see. I did not need to replace my existing glasses. Then had problems getting my money back. Store was supposed to ring me next day - never did. They do not do what they say they will do had to go back again and then they tried to make out they had rung me which was a lie as no missed calls on my phone. I do not trust this store bad service from start to finish. NO one really actually said sorry. Very poor customer service go somewhere else.
