It was not the rest was the problem. I went in and the woman who let me in walked away I heard her say something " she smells like a cat". A few seconds later I heard someone say " have a look " and then an impression of a dog. I was offended and I was going to leave but I stuck with it and when I was given a prescription I felt they were trying to push me to buy and were not keen to hand over the paper. Overall I felt very uncomfortable and will not use Boots Huddersfield again

Fantastic customer service. I’d had an issue with my contact lens and Val sorted it out quickly for me

Just had a phone call about my glasses after a fortnight to say they have to re order them , but got them on a urgent notice, approximately another 7 days , not very good !!!!! I visited the shop 13 days after order just on the off chance they might have them , now I know why ,forgotten order ,

Used this place for years. Never again. Totally different way they operate now compared to in the past.

Arrived to the opticians only to be sat down for 15 minutes waiting, only then to be told that they were running behind. Staff were running round like mad and passing customers from one member of staff to another. Recommendation was simply varifocals from the optician and some extra coating, i had been apparently recommended. 50 pounds extra for some scratch resistance that i didn't need. Money making or not. Will not be coming back to boots again. Will try supersavers next time.

I was delighted with the care I received on 11 May 2017 at Boots Huddersfield. I have been really happy with my new glasses and would not hesitate to book further appointments in the future.

The eye test booking, the eye test and the waiting times where never an issue. I've bought glasses quite a few times at Boots each costing £400 to £500+, but Never, Never again. This last pair of glasses has been terrible with screws falling out more than one occasion, and on the last occasions the lens falling into the street while walking (Even though the screws where still in, NOT WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT for £500 still under warrentry glasses. When I went in to get them repaired in the 12 month warranty the arrogant assistant replied one has a scratch (I know it fell out in the street onto the floor!) before saying these is nothing we can do the frame is damaged in two places. I thought There was usually 12 months guarantee on the frames and 24 months on titanium alloy(flexi) frames. Titanium can't be soldered. The atmosphere was certainly different to when I actually handed them over £500 again.I was so shocked I found myself speachless as I left the shop for the last time ever. If the glass don't break you are O.K to shop their. If you have problems then good luck getting a happy ending. I work in T.V and nearly brought it up with a view to making a video report on it but it's just not worth the time needed. My best option is to show my displeasure by ever entering the store again (THEIR LOSS OF £500 EVERY 2 YEARS)

Excellent service, did not try to push any products. happy they had done the eye test and nothing really needed changing.

He receptionist was lovely, and the eye exam ok , though the prescription recommended ultra thin and treated lenses which came to £170 before the cost of the frames. They would only be used for general wear and no driving, so I was disappointed in the high cost before I started, I do not earn a fortune and this is way out of my price league as I only work in a cafe and my pay is not great. These should be offered as extras instead of before glasses choice. Felt very corporate at that point and my glasses are ok, but I might have paid for better frames if hadn't been compulsory before I chose. Did not feel valued at all, just someone with money to spend, which I don't.
