Boots Opticians Brighton - London Road

Each time I have visited the Boots Opticians on London Rd, Brighton, I have been very well treated and pleased with the results of my visit. The staff are warm, approachable, courteous, and listen to you.

I was given a very thorough and detailed eye examinations by Pritti Patel and Ben. I was given excellent advice by all concerned and ordered a pair of glasses to help me to see the computer screen clearly and to read books. Mike rang me and left a clear reminder message the day before my appointment together with Covid details. David measured me for the new glasses and lenses which I collected a week later. I am delighted with them and would like to take this opportunity to say that ALL the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and easy to deal with. Plus I am loving my new glasses.

Very thorough check and helpful advice

I find the Boots online booking system very easy to use. The staff at the Boots Opticians, London Road, Brighton, are simply brilliant. Very friendly, helpful and spend time making sure you are comfortable with the decisions being made.

1. This was an eye test for my daughter, aged 9. She has an intermittent divergent squint. On the whole it does not cause her any problems and she is able to get her eyes to align correctly within seconds of a squint occurring. She was under the care of St Thomas' Hospital as an out-patient for some time but was discharged and all agreed that there was no need for corrective surgery. She has seen the same Optometrist at Brighton, London Road four times now and every time the eye test sets off her squint (covering up one eye will do it, and once it's been induced in this way it will then reoccur very easily for a short while), and every time I have to say that in every-day life the squint is not a problem. The Optometrist knows the history with St Thomas' Hospital, but we still have to go over the same ground every time. If my daughter's squint was as bad as it seems during an eye test it would be a problem for her, but it isn't and it would be appropriate for the Optometrist to believe what my daughter and I are telling her. 2. In all other respects the care is excellent and the Optometrist has dealt very well with a child who at times has not been able to sit still, or keep her head in position on the diagnostic equipment, or stay awake, or keep her eyes still when asked! I am fully confident that my daughter is getting the correct prescription and her eye health is being thoroughly assessed. 3. I would like to have a copy of my daughter's prescription, but this has never been offered. If anything, it is treated like some sort of secret that lay-people should not have access to.

Everything was clearly explained, the test was done on time and I was treated very nicely. I would recommend this opticians in the future to my friends and family and will be back next year for another appointment
