The total experience was exceptional, having never been in a private hospital before and I found the care given was as good and in some areas better than I would have expected at at my local NHS hospital.

On one occasion I pressed the call button as I needed to use the bathroom and was unable to get out of bed by myself. A nurse did eventually respond but by then I had had an accident in my bed.
On a couple of occasions a nurse said they would return within half an hour but didn’t and I was left waiting for over an hour.
I had an adverse reaction to something during my procedure and was experiencing constant hot sweats and severe itching, they gave me medication to treat this. However, I really needed a fan to help cool me down but the clinic was unable to provide one, which I find quite astonishing for a private hospital.

I received excellent care from Cleveland Clinic London. My Senior Nurse Case Manager, Amy Hamilton, was a compassionate and knowledgeable resource for me and my family during my care. All the nursing and support staff on the 4th floor were kind, attentive, and personable and did their best to make me feel comfortable. The food was very good. The room was comfortable and clean.

The service and care I was given was outstanding. From the doctors to the nurses to the catering to the cleaners everyone was lovely. Two days was not enough. I would have been happy to stay a week or so!!!!

I answered good because on the whole everything was excellent but I found it difficult to make the catering staff understand about my lactose intolerance. This is not an allergy in the true sense in that if I consume some in small quantities it will do me no harm but in larger amounts I could get diarrhoea.Because i told the admissions clerk about this it meant that I was told I could not have many items on the menu.I had difficulty explaining the difference between an intolerance and an allergy.
I had visits from several members of the management team and was able to explain all this and feel confident that this can be rectified. In fact I was asked for opinion on a number of things before I left and feel gratified that my thoughts were valued.This was very much appreciated,my thanks to all concerned.
