Having had a previous experience of a complication during an operation I was fearful of a recurrence. The op had a very encouraging outcome this time as a result of the team and the the extra-ordinary kindness of both those lead by Mr Nathan and on the 5th floor. In particular nurse Noel went out of his way to make sure my recovery stay was the best possible.

From arrival to discharge, I was treated with respect and made to feel comfortable. I was kept up to date with timings for my procedure and everyone took my needs into consideration including my family who came with me.

Disastrous toilet doors. Electric door does not close immediately on pressing button. 30 second wait, or more. STUPID. You are in the toilet because you need the toilet.nYou do not want to wait many seconds for the door to close!
Then when I was in the toilet after managing to close the door, when I was on the toilet the door opened of its own volition. VERY EMBARRASSING. TRYING TO HOLD UP TROUSERS AND UNDERWEAR WHILST two helpful people saved me and ushered me into a nearby toilet with a proper door.
Everything else and every staff member first class.
Charming and efficient people.
But STUPID toilet doors.

You have communication problems over catering. More than once I did not receive what I ordered, or received something I did not order.
I understood that check-out was by 11.00am and my wife was ready to take me away then. Despite this, it took nearly 3 hours before my medication and discharge letter were ready and we did not leave until around 14.00.
