Caregivers very good, doctors excellent.

Suggested improvements
My operation was the last of the day although, for medical reasons, I was admitted mid-morning. I was nil by mouth from 7am and was not returned to the ward until 8pm. Although I asked for food and called for some, I did not receive anything to drink until approximately 9:35pm. I was eventually offered a sandwich or something from the all-day menu but by then it was too late. I mentioned to the clinician nurse that I did not think I should have had to chase for food and water. The catering staff are friendly and helpful. However, there was not a single meal during this stay (or my previous stay in May 2023) when the order was correct/complete. I also think you ought to be offering drinks between meals as a matter of routine. Calls to the catering service were not routinely answered. In my view, the standard of catering is not up to the rest of the facilities. My two stays were 5 weeks or so apart but the menus were identical. Not a particularly good experience.
