Dr James Wilson

Dr. Wilson was the anaesthetist at my operation on 2nd March 2022 - he combined skill with a nice sense of humour. After a 3-hour operation handled my fockyy recovery with good sense and humour. Thank you, Doctor!

James was very easy to talk to, putting me at ease with all my concerns. He talked me through the whole process and was very professional. A great Doctor.

He put me at ease throughout my time in the anaesthetic room and reviewed me again when back on the ward following ACL reconstruction.

On the 31st December 2018 I attended Preston Hospital as a day patient to have a foot operation, and Dr James Wilson was the anaesthetist who dealt with me. At all times he treated me with dignity and kindness, his reassuring manner and advice giving me the assurance I was in good hands. He explained the risks of having a full anaesthetic, and the unpleasant headaches I could experience after the operation. We discussed the pain block he could give me which would last for approx. 24 hours, this offer I took up and this have been amazed at its effectiveness. I did have the headaches but because I had been advised this could happen I just gritted my teeth on got on with it. James was very reassuring from the off. He introduced himself and provided a great insight into the procedure and what to expect. Despite being very nervous he and the team continually eased my nerves and made the whole experience a great one. Though a serious procedure James and the team lightened the mood and were extremely tentative.

I had a small operation yesterday and Dr Wilson was the anaesthetist. He is very friendly and put me at ease. He explained the anaesthetic procedure in depth and administered it very well. He came back to the ward after the operation to see if I was ok. He is very professional but is also very caring.

Great doctor, very calming and did a great job keeping me relaxed!
