The testing and dispensing were great. The problem was the collection and fitting of the glasses. The frame was damaged on four occasions. Even the Dispensing Optician was unable to avoid damaging the frame. The fitting of the frame did not go well, I am still unable to wear them. I repeatedly told different staff, on different occasions, that I am a migraineur and that I need the frame not to press on my head. They didn't pay any attention to that and did the minimal adjustments. Now, six months after purchasing the glasses I am still unable to wear them for more than five minutes. I have avoided adjusting them myself because I will be responsible for accidental damage, but it is looking like that will be my only option.

Went with an emergency eye problem and the staff were so lovely. They saw me straight away gave my eyes an exam looking for any inflammation within the eye and gave me advice and drops needed. They seem to be working more than the antibiotics and eye cream the doctor gave me already! Fingers crossed all will be resolved in a few days! The optometrist really put my mind at ease and said if it isn’t improved to come back to her as she will help me further. Very friendly lovely place to visit. I literally always go boots opticians if I have an eye issue as they know their stuff, take eye photos and monitor any changes. Thanks again to all staff there.

I have been here on many occasions as it is generally good service, but every time I have to wait for my appointment - it is always delayed. I once had to wait for an hour with my newborn baby.... This morning, I had to wait 25 minutes and my appointment was at just gone 9 in the morning, so how this had happened in such a short time of opening I'm not sure? I wish they would say something on arrival, so I can re-book for another time. I had to get back to work and most people can't sit and wait for this amount of time...

I made an appointment for a free eye test as I had a voucher with my advantage card, on the morning I missed a call, failing to get a reply when I called back I turned up for my appointment to be told the optician was off sick, a young girl did ask if I would like to rearrange but I declined with not having my diary with me. I made another appointment online and was greeted by friendly staff but I was waiting for over 25 minutes before I was called in for the first part of the check even though my appointment was for 9.10am so there was no reason why it shouldn’t have run to time. I was told to wait outside and would be called again shortly, 3 people were called before me even though I had arrived well before them, another 20minutes later I was still waiting, I asked at reception how long I would be and her reply was ‘what are you waiting for?’, ‘an eye test! ’she apologised and went to see the optician who was in a room with another customer, they both returned and apologised as they’d overlooked me. I had another appointment to get to so I couldn’t wait any longer (it states online the appointment should take around 25 minutes) so I left. Although the staff were extremely nice I’ve booked an appointment at vision express as I feel paying customers were prioritised.

All the staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and were more than happy to help when asked. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new optician, a very professional team.
