Boots Opticians Wellingborough - Corn Lane

I attended an appointment today to be haughtily told by the receptionist that I was 10 minutes late. She grumpily acknowledged that this was not the case when I showed her my appointment card. Upon giving me my trial contact lenses she sat down to watch me remove and insert the lenses. It was explained that this was because there had been 'some confusion' last time. I explained that there was no confusion ; due to my anxieties around removing / inserting my lenses outside of my usual routine I had made a mistake. I explained that her watching me was increasing my anxiety. Throughout the time I was there I felt patronised and uncomfortable, to the point I did not feel able to stay in the store for my appointment. Dreadful experience, I think those involved would really benefit from some customer service training. I won't be returning.

Thorough eye test

All staff extremely kind and helpful, especially Claire and Zenia who is always so. Everything was very well explained and great care taken to suit me re next appointment. Had great difficulty getting this web site on both our machines, so have left it for two days and now success!!

The appointment was running early and the pre-screener Ben and Optometrist Rav were very friendly and I felt confident in their recommendations. The appointment was at the new Rushden Lakes store but this is not easy to find on the feedback form so I have put it under Wellingborough- I feel this feedback form could be better! I imagine this puts others off leaving their opinion. Maha helped me choose glasses I am confident will look great when they arrive and I opted for the Zeiss drive safe lense which Rav recommended for me. It felt a lovely small and intimate opticians. Unfortunately the temperature in the store was not very comfortable, they said they are unable to control the thermostat in store so it was very cold. Overall a great experience and I will be recommending my family swap to our new local opticians.

I had a recently graduated optometrist who was very professional and attentive. All in all a good experience.

The optician was extremely good, but the practice was let down badly by the assistant that booked our appointments and failed to check any personal details throughout. If we hadn't spotted that all of our details were wrong at the end of the process, somebody else would have been receiving any correspondence meant for us.

Claire the assistant at the wellingborough branch was brilliant she really helpeglasses feel loose, I'm not too impressed as I oose the right glasses and she was nice and friendly throughout my appointment. My only downside was when I picked my glasses up the lady who served me (someone different) wasn't very good at fitting my glasses and I have had to go back twice and they still feel uncomfortable. When the lady tried to fit my glasses she made them worse and now the arm of my glasses feel loose, after spending a lot of money on them it's dissapointing that I don't feel totally happy with them.
