My appointment was booked online one a month ago. Since then, I received no texts or email reminders which was unusual since when my husband used this service, he received a text two days before his appointment as well as a text confirmation and a reminder two weeks before the appointment. In total, three reminders of the appointment date and time. I received none. I wasn't sure of the time of appointment but arrived at Boots Opticians between after 9.05am but before 9.10am. I was asked to take a seat. An assistant arrived shortly after to inform me that since I had not arrived at 9am, my appointment would have to be rescheduled.It was 9.10am when I left Boots Opticians. As a point of good customer service, this company needs to ensure that proper reminders are sent out and also inform customers of the time tolerance or lack of, regarding arrival time. The service I received today was officious, inflexible and discourteous. Needless to say, I did not rebook my appointment nor will my husband, as existing customer be returning.

I visited Boots opticians Rushden Lakes on Friday March 3rd 2023. The optician Archit did my eye test and I found him to be extremely professional and likable. I would recommend this opticians.

Cancel appointments or tell you you didn’t have one, when you have email confirmation. Tell you there is a till problem so can’t let you in the store then as they think you have left the shop area they go home early. Make a complaint and receive no response. Customer service at its best

The service I have received has been excellent. The staff are friendly, kind, thoughtful and caring. They have been especially supportive following a recent operation but most significantly, they saved my sight. Their timely advise from trained staff alerted to warning signs got me the treatment I needed. Furthermore, their concern for my well being extended beyond appointment and treatment. Whilst operating under a big brand name, they continue to offer personalised service.

I came in a bit late due to traffic and they were fine about it and were absolutely lovely, my eye was very red and irritated so I couldn’t have the full appointment but they still checked it for me, they then booked me in the next day and now I have my glasses for my holiday, the staff are fantastic and the best opticians I’ve been to and I’ve tried a few, Rav the optometrist was brilliant, so good at her job, professional whilst still able to have a chat with, would definitely recommend!

Got an appointment but arrived 7 minutes late sou to traffic on the roundabout to get i. Would not see me. Offered me an appointment in a few hours. No flexibility.

I booked the first appointment online. When I arrived on the day I was told that I did not have an appt. They re-booked it for me. I informed them that te reason was due to a medication change which could affect my eyes, I gave medication details. I returned for the eye test, they had no record of the medication that I had told the about. The optician seemed irritated that my eyes were watering and the reflex of blinking was slowing her down. Something that was impossible to prevent as hard as I tried. Had to be booked to have drops on a return visit. Today at 1530, I have a streaming cold, headache and watering eyes. I called the 0345 number, as given on the website to cancel. After 5 mins and spelling my name and giving my address and the time of the appt. I was told that it was not on the system, the lady tried to put me through to the store but could get no answer. I called them 4 times but could not get a reply. I will no doubt be marked down as a DNA. After paying £25 for this eye test I feel the customer service in store and the online system do not reflect good value - should have gone to Specsavers!!

Called in to branch at Rushden Lakes to make appointment for eye test arranged convenient time staff very pleasant and helpful Introduced to Rav the most professional and explicit eye test I have ever had ,the outcome being a visit to a specialist at Three Shires and an op in the spring Thank you for your advice and kindness on follow up visits

I had an eye and hearing test here (September 2017), I was truly impressed by the a) the friendliness of the desk staff, b) the professionalism and knowledge of both the optician and audiologist, and c) the quality of the equipment used, add to this that the hearing test (standard test then more comprehensive test a fortnight later) was free, and I was given a voucher for the eye test (including retinal scan) for £10, which was also waived because i had spent £6 in Boots store next door, I could not have been happier! There was never any hint of 'hard sell' that I have experienced at other opticians in the past. Thank you to all concerned, this is a brand new store really trying hard, and I recommend them most highly.

I visited boots opticians and was seen by rav the optician and holly the assistant, was extremely satisfied with the amazing service, what a wonderful experience, would definitely recommend to friends and family, thanks again
