Long waiting times for appointments and appointments run late Disorganised and inattentive when you get there Should have gone to Specsavers

I didn't get a reminder even though a 6 month follow up was recommended. I rang for an appt and had to wait for a long time which meant I couldn't get my new glasses before going on holiday. I was told that a lot of people hadn't received reminders and the problem with the system had been reported. When I went to pick up my glasses someone came in 10 mins late and had to rearrange their appt. There appears to be no penalty for doing this. So it's no wonder that there is such a long wait for appointments. I've been very disappointed.

Good customer care, but really disappointed that the glasses aspect is all sales pitch. All offers are aimed at students or elderly, or free if you buy a pair of glasses or order contact lenses. These are horrendously priced. Labeled misleadingly and really down hill since the D&A days. My last pair gave up after 12 months. I want to like Boots, but am finding it difficult with the Opticians side of things.

I was very happy with the service I received today. All the staff were professional, helpful, friendly, well-organised and efficient and I was seen promptly and given all the information I requested without any hesitation. Although the premises are small and the shop was busy the staff coped very well, and I commend them including David Baldelli the manager and Debbie Paulus the optometrist along with the other staff.

I was seen by David Fenton, and By the end of my appointment he had booked me in at Gloucester Royal to see a specialist, that very same morning. He was calm, explained clearly what he thought my problem might be, and put me at ease. I would be very happy to see this man again.

A truly personal service unlike some high street opticians. I was given plenty of time to talk with the optometrist and the test wasn't rushed and I was made to feel welcomed and valued as a customer/patient. Very good advice given, no hard sell techniques and I left knowing I could never get better service elsewhere.

The man I saw was a bit patronising and asked why I have came back for an eye test. I had to have new contact lenses because they don't make my old Ines so the man I seen before told me to come. Ack and have a check. I went beck yesterday and I seen an older man and he dint really seem interested and was rushing is customer service and was a. It rude. his attitude seemed fed up and a bit annoyed for some reason!! If you don't like your job get another one lol
