Boots Opticians Stockport - Merseyway

I attended and was seen very quickly, the optometrist was amazing, i think she was called Mariam, ten of ten for her. Also my tests prior to my appointment were fantastic but unfortunately don’t know the ladies name. When I came to select my glasses this is where it went down hill. Myself and my partner were looking at glasses for me when an unbelievably rude male advisor in blue shirt came over and tried to prompt me to make an immediate selection, I was told I would have to select NOW or make an appointment to come back tomorrow. I tried to choose my frame and the same man kept coming up to us and sighing and giving general dirty looks. I appreciate that store was due to close in 15 mins but then surely appointments shouldn’t be booked that late in the day if you aren’t given time to choose frames. I work full time and don’t have the luxury of going back on consecutive days just to choose my frame. Upon walking back to my car Specsavers were closing but were glad for my custom and I purchased my frames from her. Suck a shame that one member of staff can put such a negative impact onto the whole team.

All staff are friendly and professional. I have the utmost confidence in the tests that are carried out because they are very thorough. I would recommend Boots Opticians and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I was recommended Boots opticians by a family member who had received good service and I wasn't was disappointed. Muhammed looked after me during my initial tests, taking time to explain everything and looking after me very well. I was then passed to Menoush, the Optometrist, who was very thorough, listening to my reasons for coming for the eye test and what I would be using the glasses for. She made good recommendations for my lenses based on this information. Finally, Kat looked after me while picking my frames. She is very honest and has a good eye for what suits your face shape. All round excellent, and very friendly, service. Naturally I will be recommending them in future to my friends!

Efficient and helpful

The assistant Kat who served me was charming. She introduced me to many different designs of glasses and most importantly gave me positive feedback on what suited my features. The Optometrist, too, was thorough in his examination and we discussed my optical medical history as he observed a problem which has been referred to my GP.

I got a convenient appointment. I only had my diabetic eye checked this time. But was treated as expected. Thankyou.
