My appointment was easy to make at a convenient time for me I was seen promptly by a friendly optical technician Louise who performed a number of tests she told me what she was doing and what to expect I was then seen by Helen the optometrist who was professional, clear, personable and reassuring I would definitely use their service again

I was seen at the allotted appointment time. The optometrist was personable polite and professional. I have been recommended eye wear that I will choose at my leisure. The shop was well presented, all the staff I met during the appointment were all pleasant and accommodating. I would recommend this service.

This has been my opticians from before it was Boots. My optometrist was the excellent Christine Turner, who sadly died suddenly. Since then, the practice has gone downhill. The waiting area was moved into the shop window. On several occasions I have to wait after my appointment time (this has given me the opportunity to observe staff sitting around chatting). I have been seen by a different optometrist each time and their manner has been cold and condescending. Communication regarding appointments has been poor and the availability of contact lens appointments very restricted for those who wor.k I am currently looking for an alternative optician and will not be going back to Boots.

Cold and impersonal Optometrist. No bedside manner whatsoever. Got my prescription and went straight over the road to Specsavers for new specs. I've been going to Boots since 2011 because of the fabulous Christine Turner, the Optometrist who so sadly died. She is a very hard act to follow, but nobody here comes anywhere near. I shall not return.

If you wear contact lenses and you want an appointment when your children are at school, then don't go here. Contact lense appointments are only available after 3.20pm - even when you have a problem they will only give you an appointment outside of this time under duress. Previously I have always found this opticians to be friendly and helpful, but this new "computer system" is not at all customer friendly.
