Unfortunately short staffed so need to go back to sort out new glasses. Would have liked to do it all at same time. Would have been nice to have been offered an appointment for this

The staff were friendly, but I was told they were understaffed and the appointed felt rushed. All tests were done, but it appeared as though it was done as quickly as possible without regard for accuracy or analysis. My first appointment was cancelled at short notice and had to wait a long time before another appointment was suitable for both the branch and I. I did not complain as I felt the staff may have been in a difficult situation, having to honour my booking even though they were short of staff. I was lucky enough to have had a voucher, so the only cost was my time, but I will consider going elsewhere in future.

The optometrist, Farah Riaz, was OUTSTANDING! Confident, professional, polite and friendly all in one! Knew her stuff and appeared very efficient. My best ever experience with an optometrist and I have been wearing glasses for about 30 years. Highly recommended. I will ask for an appointment with her next year if she is still in the branch.

I arrived 5 mins early for my appointment and was called in fairly quickly for some basic tests with the optical consultant. I then only had a few minutes wait for the optician, who then spent 5-10 minutes wandering back and forth from the reception to the consultation room as they did not know my contact lens prescription (even though I told them the correct details and gave them the number for my previous optitians) eventually they called the previous opticians and got the same details I had told them 5 minutes earlier. We then continued the appointment, only to be interrupted 3 times. The optician then left the room to see another customer mid appointment which took another 10 minutes. My appointment then restarted again, only for the optician to ask me to leave the room while she saw another customer in the middle of my appointment! Finally, I was back in the consultation room and my appointment concluded an hour after it started! I will not be using boots opticians again.

Highly recommended Boots opticians at Redlands, Poole. Very friendly and helpful staff. They were great in helping me choose new frames. Nothing was too much trouble.

The eye test and treatment by the staff was very good, more detailed than any previous eye test. However, if I went to the garage for a new set of tyres, I would not expect to be told that it would be cheaper to buy a new car than fit new tyres to the present car. I was given a price of £910 to fit new lenses to my two frames but with various promotions, discounts etc two new pairs of glasses would cost £590 based on £100 frames. The present glasses cost less than half that three years ago so I am not likely to buy Boots glasses. Thank you for the eye test.
