Boots Opticians Bournemouth - Commercial Road

I came for my eye test 19th of june. Upon entering the opticans i was left waiting for 10 minutes at reception while two members of staff, an older gentleman and the woman with brown hair were sat talking at the table. The opticians assistant named Reece came to straight to me after finishing with another customer and apologised for the wait. He took me straight into the room for my first tests and explained through what was happening and answered all of my questions well. he let me know at the start that my appointment would be a little bit late as the optician was over running but I understand that things like that can happen. sara the optician took me into her room for my eye test and I was very impressed. She was very knowledgeable and efficiant. It was the best eye test i have ever had. Because of these two I will plan on returning to this boots in 2 years for my next eye test. Sara and Reece made the experience really pleasant despite the delays and despite how much I could see they had to get done. I do however feel that the two older staff members were not helping them out at all and could benefit from some training in customer service as i felt sorry for the optician and her assistant that they were carrying the whole workload. The five stars given is a reflection of the optician and her assistant (and the service they gave) alone.

Anita was friendly with a professional and warm manner, as she took me through the paperwork and did the pre-optometrists tests... including the dreaded air blowing in the eye machine... got that one out of the way first. She was engaging throughout and clear in the steps for each machine, and I didn’t feel like I was just another person to be processed.... but was made to feel quite comfortable given the environment. The optometrist Sara came to meet me shortly after the tests, again with a warm smile and she introduced herself. Again, the interview about medical history was relaxed and friendly and the eye health and vision check felt very thorough and well explained throughout. I was able to chat to her about the options and costs for contact lens with confidence and it was lovely not to get the ‘hard sell’ - I really can’t thank Anita and Sara enough for such a professional and friendly appointment. I was just so impressed to have such a wonderful customer experience I had to find where to leave a review. A genuine thank you to them both.

Everything was perfect, unfortunately the glasses I wanted are not in the Boots catalogue so I had to make the purchase somewhere else, but they were all really helpful and discussed the different options.

Very thorough and friendly. Felt like the eye test was money well spent. Just a shame the glasses aren't cheaper.

Optician was very thorough

Having been a customer for over 18 years this was the best customer service experience from Boot Bournemouth in the last 5 years of visits. I have thought of leaving many times but havent due to loyalty and finally you repaid it. Well done the team on Saturday 7th October for a nice experience.

Very helpful on the day of my eye test in January Explained that they would let my doctors refer me to hospital as I have a problem with my left eye and will take a few months or more before hearing anything from the hospital. 7 months later still not heard from hospital I phoned the doctor he said he had not received any information from boots. I got in touch with boots to ask about the letter for the doctor. They told me sorry we forgot to send it to them. Come back for another test. .. No thanks

This was my first eye test and I was quite nervous about it as I didn't really know what to expect, however all of the staff put me at my ease and talked me through what tests they were carrying out. Dora did the first eye checks for me, Farah was my Optometrist and carried out the tests and answered all my questions about my overall eye health. After the tests showed I need reading glasses, I was shown out to the area with all of the frames and Kat talked me through my options of frames and lenses and helped me to choose a nice frame and showed me the lens options to help me to decide which ones to opt for. The whole experience was much nicer than I was fearing! The staff were all very nice and I was happy that I chose to have my test done at this opticians and I will be happy to go back for future eye tests.

appointment booked online, eyes checked and examined, assisted to choose glasses by Dora, order taken by Dora who explained in great detail the different types of lenses took varifocals and cant thank Dora enough, returned aftr trip abroad to be served by Dora again who was very proffessional, very happy with service and Great service from Dora.

My glasses were very bent and a lens was out, but with great care, they were put back into shape by Kat and Anita. they took great care and I am very grateful to them.
