I cannot fault the staff and service and it was worth noting they were COVID19 friendly . My only gripe the final bill when you consider I purchased three pairs the two members of staff went to great lengths to explain that I had saved money , t's only when I got home they I relised they charge me for anti scratch on the lenses at no time was that option explained to me . So not best pleased .

After there 10 mins early to find they were still locked up and not ready. They didn’t have my name write then as soon as I said I had the free voucher for the eye test they became very rude, announcing sereval times she has a voucher. The eye test lasted less than 5 mins I was in and out and the lady who wasn’t wearing a uniform, or name badge also didn’t tell me her name was very unhelpful. I was really disappointed with the service I was given and don’t feel I was given a good eye test I feel I will go else where for another test

The staff needs to be more friendly and helpful. We felt rushed (it was near lunch time and they had alreAdy locked the front door )and that they were there just to do the job to the minimum and nothing more in terms of customer care especially to the elderly.

I had an appointment with my 4 year old grandson and myself. The staff were very 'NOT' child friendly and very abrupt with my grandson and simply referred him to an eye clinic as she thought he was messing about! He is four and the optometrist expected him to know capital letters and even the lower case letters were not as he he knows them, she was very short with him as was the lady who did the pre tests. She was so abrupt with him and shut the door and spoke to him in quiet an abrupt manner of which I then opened the door and continued the examination with me explaining what was happening. I had a phone call to ask me to come in earlier as the optometrist had to go to a meeting and when we got there they were running late, which I understand happens but felt no customer care or friendliness were appreciated as we were waiting a long time and my grandson was getting bored. I only felt when i spent £595 on glasses the two members of staff suddenly became very nice to me!!! Realised when I left the points weren't offered on my boots card . Then when I had a call to say my glasses were due for collection I arrived to a notice on the door saying they closed for lunch between 1-2!!!!!!! This could have been told to me over the phone!!!! I ended up standing in torrential rain for 45 minutes, WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!

Eye check was fine but attempting to get glasses after was almost impossible. Despite me being very quick to chose the frames, the staff kept changing who was serving me, then disappeared completely so I had to find someone again to place me order. Unfriendly staff member when I picked up my glasses, wasn't given my prescription, wrong information given about contact appointments. Wouldn't use this boots opticians again.
