Boots Opticians Reading - Oracle Centre (in Boots)

Worst experience of my life.

I've waited for weeks for my appointment, boots rang up a day before to confirm only to ring again on the day, only an hour before my appointment to cancel it. I made tremendous effort to get some time off for this appointment and it was all wasted because of this incompetent, unreliable, time waster BOOTS OPTICIAN ORACLE CENTRE!!!

I have never seen rude people like in that place.

As a visitor from Canada, these past two summers I have had amazing, outstanding service on a walk-in basis. Last summer, I lost a screw from a nosepad while on a tour. A technician promptly waited on me, and replaced the missing screw at no charge. However, she also noticed that one of my lenses was sitting improperly in the frame - and she fixed it as well. For more than a year previously, I had begun falling over "nothing" - one of those falls in Ypres the previous summer, which resulted in a broken ankle and drastic changes to my 2016 holiday. Since your kind technician noticed the improper angle of that lens and corrected it, I have not fallen even once during the past year!!! I went in again yesterday because I'd had my frames adjusted recently at home, and they'd somehow become too tight and quite painful above one ear. The kind technician said "ouch" (or some such) when she saw the situation, and promptly fixed that...meaning this year's holiday will be far more comfortable. .... I can't even begin to express the extent of my enormous appreciation for the kind service your optical department has shown me during my two visits to Reading. The re-setting of the lens last summer, particularly, has averted a situation that had actually been dangerous, causing me to fall often, and the worst of those falls being very far from home. ..... I voiced my appreciation yesterday in my Facebook status! Thank you so very much!!!

Awful service, they got my order wrong and then when i went back into store to collect the correct order that was also wrong. Incompetent staff - I'll never use this store again.

Boots Reading were incredibly thorough when dealing with my son. Satish was brilliant with him and saw Home a second time to get his prescription absolutely right. Thank you so much. It had made a huge huge difference and he seems much happier already.

Satish is the best optician around for miles. He should train other experienced opticians as they could learn from him.

My daughter's had their eye annual eye test the test was thorough and excelllent by all measures the opmetetist was Monika she is very excellent at what she do and an asset to the pratice.

There seemed to be enough staff so that I didn't have to wait long to see an assistant, which was great. The opticians department was roomy and the frame displays had mirrors at frequent intervals!

Everything fine as for now
