Boots Opticians Kensington - High Street (in Boots)

I will never use a Boots Optician again, except perhaps for an eye test. Two reasons: 1) I'm 99% sure they're now working on commission. 2) You need to be aware of the sales & negotiating techniques they are overtly using. When I was mis-sold varifocals, they only told me the very hefty price right at the end of a lengthy consultation. I hated the specs so when I returned to swap them (which they happily did, to their credit) for occupational specs (I also got reading & sun specs), they use distraction techniques just before revealing to me that they'd fixed the pricing to be (funnily enough) the same, so I got no refund for the difference.

Awful customer service! Don't waste your time organising an appointment because the chances are it wont be there when you arrive and the staff will be rude to you!

I don’t understand how boots got to this disgraceful situation. Very rude and careless staff.

Big disagreement between two different optometrists in how treat my eye infection; an ulcer in the cornea. (Being prescribed with the wrong antibiotics for 5 days by one of the optometrist with not mention me that I had an ulcer in the cornea) Both knowing it was an ulcer: -1st Optometrist wasn't sure; continue or not with antibiotics she prescribed me. Finally said not continue. -2nd Optometrist (Day before to see again the 1st optometrist) considered continue with another antibiotics. She didn't know wich ones. She had to consult in a book. BY LAW YOU JUST CAN PRESCRIBE 2 ANTIBIOTICS AND NOT FOR TREAT AN ULCER. Decided myself to go Emercency Moorfields Eye Hospital. Been asked why you didn't send me straight away to emergency. And ulcer in the cornea is an emergency that needs rapidly treatment that you can't prescribe. You aren't qualified to deal with emergencies. You're not Ophtalmologist. Your knowledge is limited. You just can prescribe 2 antibiotics. CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY YOU ARE ALLOW TO. You're working with the people ocular health. You shouldn't play with it. Thanks to your slow and wrong procedure I'll have a scar in the cornea that hope not damage my vision.

I had an awful experience. The ‘optometrist’ asked me to cover eyes with my hand. Then asked me to read a text very rudely. Besides that when she checked the light in the eye she took extremely long. I said to her that I never had such an exhaustive test and she said that’s the way.she did even touch my eyelids to procede. I was in shock. When she gave me back the prescription, no name was given. I will never check my eyes at Boots Kensington.My eyes are now in pain due to the inexperienced staff provided as well as utterly awful customer service.

Very friendly and all the different staff i had to see were brill, and assured me that my eyes were healthy as i had a small concern and also i was helped to choose frames that would suit me and was very happy with the outcome, will continue to use boots opticians

Today went to boots options in kensinghton as I have a bloodshot eye and wanted to know whether I should go to the eye hospital.The service I received from everybody I came into contact with was amazing as it has been for the last 10 years! They were able to fit me in quickly.The optometrist I saw examine my eye thoroughly and explain what the problem was in an extremely professional and friendly manner. Amazing service as always.

The Appointment was for my 14 year old son. All the staff looked after us very well throughout. Good service and all went very smoothly.
