I was very impressed by the service I received, the optometrist really took her time and the optical assistant named Caroline was so incredibly helpful and took such great care when helping to fix my older glasses. Caroline is the reason I will be returning to the Epsom branch again!

Ths optician herself was absolutely fantastic. However the optical assistant Caroline was absolutely awful. She spoke down to us, treated us like idiots and didn't care to bother helping in the slightest. I will avoid this boots opticians simply because of her. No customer service skills and we were made to feel degraded and worthless. Absolutely horrible woman. Don't understand how she has a job dealing with customers.

How often does Boots Opticians check and train their staff regularly? Suppose to be a two minutes job: just to tighten little bit frame which one leg is little loose, but result was after half an hour waiting a broker pair of glasses were brought back to us. No apology, not even a sorry, the staff told us to go back to where we bought the frame and find another pair....she said it was in our own risk. She said she had told us in the first place!! She lied, simply she didn't. Neither me nor my husband heard she said it was in our risk if the glasses were broken. We probably wouldn't handed glasses over to her if we heard she wasn't sure what she was doing. Why they don't want to recognise their mistake? Why are they so scared of take responsibility? After a long waiting (another an hour and half) for them to discuss......we now got a pair of "click on" temporarily for our trip. They have our glasses (broken), said would make a new pair after eye test in two weeks. Let's see.

Impossible to get through to any department at Boots in Epsom Surrey, on the telephone!! I was trying to arrange to pick up my glasses. Opticians are not mentioned on the answering system. Tried selecting "all other enquiries" Waited 5 minutes with no reply. Is there anyone available to deal with customer enquiries ?? Tried Pharmacy and waited for 5 mins again with no reply. Hope those dealing with urgent medication are still alive! Tried Beauty, and they eventually answered, but could not transfer me to the Opticians. They agreed to inform the Opticians who eventually phoned me. I had also tried the dedicated Optiicans line and waited another 5 minutes with no reply. Avoid this shop!

It was my first visit today at this store and I was warmly greeted at the desk and asked to take a seat. A young gentleman with glasses had pre-screened me, he was kind, and asked me to take a seat again once we were done. What I did not l like was what happened after this, the optometrist took this young gentleman into her clinical room, left the door open, and was having a go at him for something leaving me and another patient sitting awkwardly overhearing this. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, she was crushing this poor gentleman's confidence, not being tactful and certainly not educating him how to encounter this situation again. I was surprised he didn't throw the towel in and walk away. Instead he left the room composed and continued to work. Then she ended up being the optometrist I saw, she didn't tell me her name and asked me the same questions twice? She wasn't friendly or warm, clearly annoyed at the situation before. Based on this experience, I don't want to come back here again. More training and effective communication needed.

hI have been attending Boots Optometrists for many years at Epsom, and I always had excellent service from all the staff. They welcome you with a smile and very professional in their approach. I believe the telephone system needs updating, as I could not leave any voice message, to rebook my appointment.

I arrived early, practically seen straight away. Staff were friendly, calm, not rushed therefore I felt I was given time to be thoroughly examined. At the desk the receptionist asked me if I had a voucher which was very thoughtful No improvements needed

I have been with Boots Opticians since they took over D&A, never a bad word to say about them - my optometrist was lovely last week, she had seen my son too - would definitely recommend to anybody.

He explained everything very clearly, showed me the pictures of my eyes - which I found fascinating and made me feel confident in my answers to the testing.
