I’ve been trying to get through to the opticians department for over 20mins with no response apart from recorded messages asking me to press this number then another number, wait and someone will answer your call, only to go through the whole series of numbers again. It a good job it’s not urgent. Very annoying!

Great service throughout from Wayne, my optometrist, and from Louis who helped me choose the right frames and fitted them. They were both first class and had excellent knowledge. Thank you

Highly recommend. Was very easy to book the appointment online for a time that suited me. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Both the practitioner who did the initial tests (taking photo of the eye etc.) and the optometrist were friendly and explained each test clearly. The whole thing was very efficient and I will definitely return to this branch when my next test is due if I'm still in the area. I didn't need glasses so can't comment on the staff who recommend frames etc. but the service was really fantastic.

Great customer service helpful staff. I particularly would like to commend the young man who helped me choose my frames .He was so helpful took time to make sure I had correct fitting and frames and was genuinely courteous and knee his job. His name on badge was Aled. I will book to see him again and tell my friends .

I was seen on time and welcomed very professionally. The assistant conducting the health checks was very polite and put me st ease. Her instructions were very clear and the test was very well explained. The optometrist was professional and very competent with a friendly manner which made me feel confident. He checked my eyes very throughly and offered excellent advice and diagnosis of my problem. Excellent customer care and service from all members of staff. Thank you.

Having had varifocal glasses for over a year I decided to do a trial of contact lenses with Boots. I had an initial appointment with a male optician who was helpful on 27/4/18. He put in a pair of lenses for me to trial around the Mall at Cribbs Causeway. I then came back and we agreed I would trial the lenses for a few more days. I asked if someone could show me how to remove my lenses as even though I had tried lenses unsuccessfully a few years prior I didn’t feel confident about taking them out. He got a member of staff to show me how to do this. She the booked a follow up appointment for 11/5 and I left with nine pairs of lenses. The member of staff had looked at my paper script from the optician and had written left and right on the boxes so that I was clear which to use. The following day I put in a pair of lenses and couldn’t see a thing. I thought this was me at first and checked the correct lenses were in the right eyes which they were. I then thought I needed to give them time to settle so kept them in for thirty minutes to see if my sight would settle but it didn’t. I ended up throwing the lenses away and wearing my glasses. I rang Boots Opticians a couple of days later to see if the lenses had been marked left and right incorrectly. It turned out I had been given nine pairs of lenses which weren’t mine! Mine were at the opticians with my script. I was stunned to say the least! I was told there were just four pairs of my lenses there. I explained I thought I was having a longer trial than that and could I have nine pairs, the same as the wrong lenses I had been given. The member of staff said some could be ordered and the would take a couple of days to arrive and I would be telephoned. I checked my phone number details and also gave my mobile in case I was out. I have had no phone call!!! My review appointment is this morning at 11:25am. I have had no reminder text and I will not be coming. I have tried to cancel this appointment but have been unable to get through. I will be going elsewhere to get my contacts and glasses in future and will not return or recommend Boots Opticians to family or friends.

Poor waiting area for test rooms - very cramped for both staff and patients Staff always gossiping and not showing a very professional attitude Always different Optom therefore continuity of an ongoing issue hard to communicate

This is the best options ever. I have been seeing Mrs Franklin for many years and it is her that brings me back. She is the best. And the girl who served me and helped me choose my glasses was also excellent. Can’t praise this Opticians enough. Always very friendly and helpful as well as very knowledgeable. One word to describe this branch amazing!! That is why I come from Yate every year to this Opticians.
