Boots Opticians Northfield

I wouldn't recommend anyone living in Northfield, Birmingham to go to Boots Opticians in the High Street. I called in today for an eye test. A pleasant young man came to me and took notes. I mentioned that I visited them several years ago, and bought some distance glasses. I told him they were useless, and I could see much better without them. He asked why I didn't take them back. I told him I went elsewhere instead. An assistant at the front of the shop said, "Why have you come back here? If that's your attitude, you'd better leave now." So I did. She didn't like me saying they did a poor job. Customer skills are sadly lacking in this shop.

Excellent service and precautions taken due to Covid 19. The eye test was very thorough and not rushed. The lady assistants could not have been more helpful while I was choosing my glasses. Highly recommend this opticians. Thank you to all staff.

I had floaters in my left eye and was quite worried , I called the Northfield branch. And Mr Patel fitted me in that day . He spent a hour with me doing lots of tests on my eye and he explained what a floater was and put my mind at rest . A few days later they were worse so I called him and again he saw me straight away, he spent a lot of time checking them out again and then as he was not completely happy he referred me to the Birmingham eye hospital, I went about 6.30 pm and was seen immediately , luckily there was nothing seriously wrong and after being checked thoroughly I was allowed to go home . Mr Patel called me the next day to see how I was . That is what you call 100% service , nothing was to much trouble for him or his very polite and helpful staff , I have always received excellent service from this opticians and have been tempted to try another company as they may be. a bit cheaper but I am so glad I stayed with Mr Patel and his team . Very helpful staff in helping me choose frames. Optometrist also very good at explaining the eye test and the condition of my eyes.

I had a thorough examination.

I have been wearing glasses for over 10 years and have had numerous eye tests but never quite had glasses that work particularly great. However, my recent visit to this optometrist was extremely good as he identified I have a need a prism prescription, something never tested before by any previous tests I've had. I found my eye test to be very thoroughly assessed and explained at each point very clearly. It was the best eye check I've ever had. I have no hesitation recommending an eye test with Mr Patel.

All staff welcoming, polite, friendly and professional. Offered good honest advice. Nothing I can think of that could be improved.

The staff were very friendly and helpful,the service was really good they don't rush you when trying to find the right pair of glasses.

The use of the word 'totally' in this survey is very unpleasant.

Staff friendly. No over sell (unlike other well known chains).
