Boots Opticians Lancaster

I had a trainee optometrist she tried hard but I left unsure as to how well my eye test had gone and it took a longer than I had been lead to believe. She recommended Clearview photos with BlueGaurd. these I have since misplaced but they proved to be on no use at all when night driving as they didn't coupe with oncoming headlights, neither they didn't respond when driving in sunny conditions. I was far better off with normal lenses. I had to make 3 visits to your store before you completed my order as one pair had got lost, and despite being told they had been re-ordered they hadn't. In general I found staff to be uninterested in customers, and when I called in to query my reading glasses I found the staff member condescending and dismissive and seemed to just want me to leave asap. The only exception with the staff was a lady with ginger hair whose name I did not get, but she seemed to be the only one who seemed to care. I also did not receive a copy of my prescription. As a result I now intend to go else where to have a second eye test and purchase glasses that are fit for the purpose. I have used Boots for many years and always had good service, but the Lancaster branch has been a disappointment from beginning to end and I have no wish to return.

had appointment then received a letter couple days after saying if i don’t make an appointment my contact lenses would be stopped!

Had some glasses that broke, the man replaced them for free. No quibble just an immediate fix, why can't more places be like Boots!

Had a lovely visit in Lancaster store yesterday although it was noticeably quiet, I thought for a Saturday. The staff were very helpful, had a sense of humour and made my visit very relaxed and enjoyable. I didn't feel that I was being hurried along and had fun choosing my frames from a wide range of colours! Thankyou and i'll certainly recommend to others.

Sophie the oculist took great care of my son. She was very good with him and explained everything in appropriate terms for his age. He didn't need glasses, but he had a good experience.
