Boots Opticians Hednesford

I booked an appointment with my sister in Law for Friday the 1.11.2019. for about 10.10 fr the two of us. When we arrived, not hello straight away she put us in the place. You are a bit late, also I had written 10.10 on my card. Only one-off us could have it done and I let my sister in Law go. I was waiting and in the whole time nobody else came in. When she was finished they had a phone call saying the next person would be late but still offered them to come in. There was nobody else in the shop and one assistant did an online test while the other looked at glasses. She never offered me to make another appointment and ignored me completely. The customer service was terrible. There was plenty off time to have mine done especially when my sister in law came out and had her vision test done. All I could say that it was very quiet in the shop. I certainly would not visit this place again and you have lost money and two people were just standing around doing nothing. I can't say anything about the optometrist as I am sure she would have been alright she also was not informed of me.

Very disappointed with the service after the eye test! I had an eye test which went well. Pleasant knowledgeable lady They have all the technology for the eye test except for the Retinal Photography – not a big deal. Good range of frames to choose from – great. The trouble started when I had chosen the frames and was being measured up for varifocals. This measurement is crucial for correct application so that focus is good and you don't get a crick in your neck. They were more interested in my old frames that the new ones – strange! The lady attempting the measurement said my glasses were crooked and tried to straighten them – wrong! She was sat rather higher than I was while taking the measurement – wrong. I expressed some concern about this. Another lady took over and tried to explain that some people have their focus higher or lower - I'm not sure if I believe that. She also said that she prefers her glasses “loose”. She obviously doesn't wear varifocals. In the end I was removed from their mailing list (their choice not mine) and laughed out of Boots “opticians?” Hednesford. Thank you ladies - I don't think much of your customer service.

The staff were all very pleasant and helpful cannot think of anything to change pleased with my overall encounter

good communication skills by both the optometrist & dispensing staff. worked through their lunch break to help discuss with me my prescription choices.

Suggest a more professional greeting on arrival, less misplaced humour....
