Boots Opticians Dorchester

I had a appointment today 22.06.21 for 1.30pm. I went in and was told I need to wear a mask. I said no, I am exempt, the young man said well the lady testing your eyes come close to you so will have to wear a mask. I said I am exempt. The woman in question came out by the name of Jane and told me she will not test my eyes unless I wear a mask. I said I am exempt. So what language do they not understand. They have breached my medical rights and the common law rights. I told her she was a disgrace and walk out. So Boots Head Office I trust you will take action.

Jane saw my colleague and would not see to her as she does not wear a mask due to medical exemption. Is this the way the healthcare industry is going??

I'm very impressed with the standard of care I've received. The dispensing optician, Alan, explained the different options very clearly and, when I collected the glasses I'd ordered, took great care to ensure that they were fitted correctly and that I was entirely happy with every aspect of the varifocal lenses.

Hi All, I went for an eye check up this morning at boots opticians Dorchester Dorset. All the staff and the checks brilliant, excellent service all round. After using specs savers in Dorchester for years and saying I needed glasses, boots this morning said no need for glasses your eyes are well and healthy. I will definitely be staying with boots.

Staff were very attentive from the moment i walked through the door. Everything was clearly explained to me. I left feeling confident that my vision was all good and that I wouldn't have to return for another 2 years.

Allowed plenty of time to explain changes in vision and choices of framed/lenses. A much better experience than the so called No 1 high street optician.

It was my first eye test at Boots in Dorchester and i was surprised at how relaxed the staff made you feel. They explained everything in detail and were very helpful. I would highly recommend them.

I took my 7 year old son for his first eye test & he was very nervous about going in. Jane encouraged his younger brother to go into the room & check it all out so he could tell him what was in there which worked a treat. The store staff in general were very welcoming & friendly & Jane was really patient & very child-orientated, explaining everything that was going on to both my son & I. He left excited about having seen the photos of the back of his eyes & very pleased with his sticker - plus one for his brother. Excellent service, will definitely recommend & return for my eye test when it's due.

Jane was friendly and personable, and the product recommendations were based on my requirements without any pressure. I always find eye tests a little daunting so I was very happy with my test, I've already recommended boots opticians to my colleagues.
