Walk in the door today (24/08/19) and waited to be approached by a member of staff. I member of staff was sitting on a computer next to me but just looked up and then carried on doing whatever she was doing. I stood there and just waited to be served. About 4 minutes later someone else came in and a member of staff suddenly appeared and served them. I just walked out and went to specsavers instead.

All the staff at the Bromley High st branch gave excellent service , from the Branch manager (s) Mark / Philip, to the reception team, Sara, Marissa, Nana, Yvonne, and of course Tom (brought in specially from the Glades branch) the main guy whom without him my glasses would not be 'PERFECT' Thus, I would like to thank you all for such impeccable service. Keep up the great work Lavona Bowers BA Hons

After finding out that I needed to wear glasses - I was looked after my the lovely lady Toni who went through all the choices of glasses - made excellent recommendations according to my face shape size extra to ensure I got the ones that not only looked good but also for well - she didn't try to do the 'cold sell' for the moat expensive frames but asked what my price range was at the start and guided me accordingly - she offered the option of the lighter weight lenses who which I did go for - she also told me about options for a second pair on offer but also 're assured me that if I wanted a second pair I has 3 months to decide making it affordable and more likely that I will come back - she never made be feel under pressure to buy - and shared her own experiences of what it's like when you first wear glasses - Toni made me feel very comfortable and relaxed and I would recommend her to anyone who wants an honest no pressure opinion and such a great asset to your company.

Date. 4 Oct 2017. This review is only about Marisa who attended to me after I had my eyes tested, which she did in a professional and very pleasant manner. I appreciated her help in choosing new frames that suited me and coming up with the the options that were right for me financially.

The optometrist I saw was very pleasant, professional and helpful as were the staff in the store.

Upon arrival to my appointment (which I was told to get to 5 minutes earlier and which I did) I was completely ignored for a good 10 minutes. No assistance and a complete lack of customer service at this point. When I eventually asked if I could check I was in the correct branch for my appointment, and would anyone assist with booking me in, I was told the shop was short staffed and briskly told to take a seat. I had to ask which area to sit in as this information was not given. The optician who saw me first apparently did not know her left and right - by her own admission - which did not inspire me with confidence I was being given the best service, especially when I have a growing cataract and historical eye operations all of which meant I wanted a thorough check and prescription update. At one point, whilst I was counting white lights during one of the tests and slightly struggling to see up close due to my perspective, the same optician told me quite curtly to "concentrate". I do not feel I need to explain why this was an unnecessary comment. I did not remark on it as I did not want any confrontation. Once I was seen by the Optometrist, he asked me lots of questions, particularly in regards to my frequent headaches and eye medical history. At this point I felt confident my checkup would take better shape. However, after the tests he had done finished, he offered me no feedback and it was me who had to ask lots of questions. After I was briefly led out of the room, the Optometrist muttered something which to me was barely audible, and left me standing on the shop floor by a staff member which I assumed was to take my payment and advise me further. I heard her tell another staff member right in front of me that she probably wouldn't be able to deal with me and "someone else would have to do it" which I wasn't impressed with. However she appeared to look over as though she was going to serve me at which point I asked if I could come back and pick up glasses at a later date, and if I needed to do anything else. She wasn't partoculay forthcoming with her response to me, however (as an afterthought) offered me my prescription and then payment. My overall opinion of this is that the staff do not offer an assurance that as a customer I am being treated professionally and to the standard any reasonable person would expect. I do not feel my medical needs would be addresses entirely professionally and thoroughly and I had an overall feeling I was not so much a customer as a burden to the staff. Suffice to say i will be transferring to another optician and I strongly advise revised training and customer handling be reinforced at the very least to the select staff working in the Bromley High Street branch.

The eye test was good and the lady that did it was lovely. What I didn't like it's that they didn't give my prescription. And I felt pushed in buying glasses after I told them I didn't like any of the frames they had

Very friendly front of house assistant. Optometrist was very thorough and explained everything throughout.
