I bought both my elderly parents for an eye test . The whole process took from 11.30am until 2.30pm . My father is 100 there are no toilets . So he was tired from the long test and endless questions and had to take him on a long walk to the toilets . We were so exhausted at the end I left without his prescription. I rang through to ask for it to be sent twice . Each time it takes an incredibly long time to get through to store most times no answer . I rand for one hour on Sunday and again on Monday . Today I have come to collect it in person . I explained to the lady the difficulties getting through . She says well we’re busy . . She went off to get it signed . I have been waiting 20 minutes and no one has cone back. The staff do not explain or apologise . It is very frustrating.

People keep complaining how hard it is to get the appointment or how difficult it is to call. They forgot we live in unprecedented times with Covid and new measures must be implemented. Everything was explained to me in a friendly manner and totally makes sense with social distancing it’s clear they can’t have more staff in store. They still try hard to meet the high demand. As a person working in retail I absolutely understand and hats off to the whole Brent Cross optician staff.

ALL TOTALLY NEGATIVE RE SIMPLE ENQUIRY/UPDATE...... I HAVE OPTICIAN APPOINTMENT AT BOOTS BRENT X AND IN ORDER TO COMMUNICATE FAIRLY WITH YOU I WISHED TO INFORM CANCELLATION OF MY APPOINTMENT AND WASTED 17 MINUTES WASTED TIME GOING ROUND IN CIRCLES WITH YOUR AUTOMATED HALF WITTED AUTOMATED PHONE APPALLING AND USELESS SYSTEM WITH ZERO RESPONSE ! IF BOOTS SO SHORT STAFFED, MY SYMPATHIES ALBEIT THE SAME NEGATIVE OUTCOME . NOW WAITING RINGINGBLAH BLAH CONTINUING RE OPENING HOURS MONDAY, SUNDAY SATURDAY ALL BRAINLESS AND USELESS. VERY FRUSTRATING MT APPOINTMENT WAS FOR 15/00 SATURDAY NOVEMBER 14 ! SO IF ANYONE CAN BE BOTHERED CANCEL THAT TIME AND LOOK FOR THE SURNAME WRITTEN ASSUMING YOU HAVE LITERATE STAFF TO CHECK AND CANCEL ? MY INITIALS ARE M. A , GOOD BYE AND STAY SAFE ..........

I would just like to thank Jyoti for the care she took in resolving my problems with my new glasses. Puts you at ease straight away. Jyoti comes over as a very caring person but very professional. Also mention for Zaffa who looked after my eye test.

I had the best experience at Boots Eye Clinic at Brent Cross that I've had in all the years that I've been going. I went in on spec. and luckily got the a very professional optometrist who happened to be free. She was friendly, well- informed and able to impart the information I wanted. She was able to provide me both with advice about my particular need (night driving into the glare of oncoming headlights) and the special type of lens necessary. She also had a nice sense of humour! Her name ? Jyoti (number 3361?)

Hi I asked for water as I was really thirsty and had run up the stairs and all the ladies refused saying they had no water I was really surprised as to how they are working there and there is no water surely if I am a customer I could get some water BUT when it was time for them to sell me some glasses when i complained and said I cannot think without a glass of water the glass of water appeared! I was totally cheesed off ! I did not say a word but I felt like whats happened to the humanity in Boots!

I was actually seen because I was having a problem with one of my eyes and there was nothing obvious to see that was wrong with it and a generic drop was not helping to clear the problem. On looking in my eye the optician detected a 'foreign body' and advised me to go to an eye hospital. I did this the next day where a very tiny foreign body (thought to be a piece of plastic) was detected and removed and I was given antibiotic drops. I am very grateful to your optician for his advice.

The support staff stand around and chat and moan how the store manager is too willing to help other branches when they have staff issues. The face that they were all standing round chatting was lost on them. The optomotorist seemed new and nervous. Mentioned that I was thinking about laser. That was over 15 years ago. She needs to read current notes. She took ages and was unsure what she was doing.
