Horrible experience. I went in to get new contact lenses and to replace the glass in my frames. The staff didn't tell me that contacts and glasses require separate appointments, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. The optometrist said I had an eye infection and therefore he could not give me new contacts. He told me to go to my GP for prescription eye drops, but refused to write down any relevant information or send a letter to my GP. Of course, when I told my GP what I had been told, they were confused and required more information. Getting it to them from the optometrist was like pulling teeth, and absurdly difficult. Because the optometrist wouldn't give me new contacts until my eye infection was gone, I was in a bad spot: I desperately needed the lenses replaced in my glasses frame, because the top layer of film was coming off and I couldn't see through them. They refused to expedite repairs, refused to give my any help, and the optometrist insisted I could walk around for two weeks without any kind of corrective lenses. Without corrective lenses, I am legally blind, and this man advised me to live without being able to see properly for the 2 weeks it would take to replace the lenses in my frame. Without assistance or aids that non-seeing people have. When I asked what would happen if I got hit by a car or fell and hurt myself, he said, "then you can come back and I can give you contacts to wear until your glasses are finished." When I asked if he could just skip the part where I potentially get hurt and give me contacts now, he said no, because I have an eye infection. I took my frames and left, and went to a different optometrist. Who checked my eyes and found no infection. I don't know what's worse, an optometrist who can't even properly assess an infection, one who doesn't understand how prescription eye drops work (ie. you can't just send a patient to their GP like they're your personal messenger pidgeon), or an optometrist who feels like they can look a patient in the eye and tell them they should walk around in a legally blind state for several weeks without caring about or understanding the implications of it. I am never ever going back to this optometrist, or to any other Boots ever again. Horrendous.

Seen on time. Efficient service Field test done immediately on arrival explanations given of what to expect. Polite & friendly staff members . Eye test done highly professionally. Very pleased with the service I received.

The staff are very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly. However the staff were all completely different from when I went 6 months ago. Whilst I appreciate the knowledge and helpfulness I would prefer the same person if possible to see me each time.

The staff were so nice and engaging, from the receptionist to the optometrist I had a great experience. Boots could discuss options for people that are on a tight budget. I have spent half of the price of my eyeglasses on drive safe lenses. I think Boots could offer deals on frames for glasses if clients decide to purchase the most expensive lenses.

Everything was seamless and easy. The Optometrist was very professional and kind, and explained everything she did and tested for during the consultation. It was a surprisingly enjoyable experience!
