I was in the hospital for 10 hours, only to be told by DR San she can't give me any meds for my chest pain, yet wanted more bloods when I refused she thought it's okay to push me onto the chair with her index finger, I wasted my time at the hospital, I asked DR Ahsan what's going on and when will I be seen as iv been here for the whole night he didn't look phased all he said was its not my fault
Wait time was over 18 hours. Totally unacceptable
UCT was good but disappointed as Admin delayed the process. The Dr was excellent but had to wait. A&E experience was relatively quick. I am disappointed as I have been admitted on Friday and I still have not had the CT scan. I understand there are more patients that have urgent reasons but I too was an urgent care patient and I still have to wait and I cannot be told how far down the list I am. I feel I am taking a bed which could be given to another deserving patient.
Having said the above I am still grateful for our NHS service.
I felt well-treated in KGH.
I'll that there's need for an Emergency Dept Manager and all EMS staff should possess an IPAD-style portable terminal with online access to FULL PATIENT RECORDS as I had repeated blood tests and repeated requests for my history UNNECESSARILY on my visit!!
This can get a lot better and more efficient.
Thank you!.
A really good experience having my knee replacement operation and I was looked after really well.
I received excellent care when i went in with a collapsed lung although i was not aware at the time but explained why suddenly i was having trouble breathing! Everyone was very kind + luckily i was soon admitted to a ward... i really cannot fault them, all the Doctors + nurses were amazing.
I was treated with dignity and timely too. God bless you
Friendly but professional
When I visited the hospital it was extremely busy. In spite of this I felt all the staff were doing a very very good job in very difficult circumstances.
Due to the sheer volume of patients from the entrance where ambulance services (who were also very courteous and caring) handed over patients to nursing staff was absolutely full right through out the hospital.
From that area where I was for some hours itt was difficult to get attention for toilet needs, so I had to ask people who were there with their loved ones to ask for help from staff on my behalf. I genuinely believe though this was not due to staff being at all uncaring, they were simply working as hard and fast as they possibly were able.
It was however worrying about not getting toileting needs met for longer than I was able to hold it. Also, once going to toilet it was difficult then to attract attention to get cannula!s for rehydration and pain relief drips reconnected.
Overall however I feel all the staff I came into contact with treated me extremely well, and did that amazingly well in the circumstances they were all working!! I
I have been here for 17 hours and coming for them to say they have no clue how my issue formulated.
