I went with a sudden onset of pain

Improve the hours and hours of waiting time by sticking to the appointment times that people have been given

Eventhough I had an appointment time i was told there would be at least a 2,5 hour wait...there was no seating and patients were stood in corridors. I was too ill to be able to do that so promptly left and was not seen.

Do not over book appointment times!

Waiting room rammed…struggled to get a seat. Told they were running a little behind. My appointment time 12.30pm. Seen 2.45pm. A&E were overloading the service. Organisation was totally unclear. One service user was verbally abusive to staff…threatened to break their jaw. This patient was not removed. They created an uneasy and unsafe atmosphere. Their needs were not met and neither were the needs of the rest of the service users who were subjected to the constant bad language and ranting of this patient…totally unacceptable for the young children in there waiting to be seen. I would hate to imagine my elderly parents having to cope with this environment or other vulnerable service users. I rarely use GP services and the service I experienced was less than satisfactory.

Communicated better with patients who had booked appointments. We WERE not all there because we’d presented at A&E we were there as our GP couldn’t meet our needs.

I suffer from Fibromalgia and disc degenerative including neck pain with arthritis.

I was told my appt was 12pm . Yet waited till 1:30pm. Surrounded by people coughing and one child had a sick bowl. The doctors where slow in seeing a patient. In the 1.5 hours I was there only one doctor came out and seen 2 patients. I was uncomfortable sitting all this time with my fibromalgia and arthritis.

Appalled

6 hour wait I was too poorly to even stay as with minus temperatures outside and was expected to sit on a floor in a corridor as waiting room was about 5 times it’s capacity in-5 weather not fit for purpose. I went home as I had a temp of 40 I’ve ended up worse why you can’t prescribe over the phone anymore is rediculous half them people in there could of been sorted over the phone. I’m now on steroids inhalers and 2 lots of antibiotics this could of been avoided instead of expecting poorly people to sit on a floor all down a freezing corridor with rude staff on the desk

Overall a very poor service was in severe pain and had to wait 9hours to be seen

The lady on reception on the 1st of December was so helpful, she listened to me and showed a great deal of empathy. I was unable to sit down because of an abscess on my tummy and she found me a room so that I could lay down whilst I waited. She comforted me when I was upset and in pain. After a short time she came to check on me and advised that she would get the Dr to see me a little sooner. Shortly after I was seen my a lovely Dr, Wendy Hart. Wendy was calm and helped to put me at ease she was incredibly compassionate too. Thank you to both ladies for helping me. I went for some bloods and then was admitted to ward 27. If it wasn’t for you my health would’ve been even more compromised. You are a credit to Doncaster and Rdash trust.

I have Rhumatoid arthritis and diabetes but attended for stronger pain relief for undiagnosed severe back pain.

From 111 and out of hours I was advised to present at A&E. I didn’t want to go to A&E as I was in so much pain. I got an appointment but was told the doctors may send you there. In the we decided to go to A&E.. The triage nurse refused to add me to the list and insisted we go to Out of Hours service. After a 3 hour wait I was told by the doctor that the strongest pain relief they could give me was codeine, which I explained I couldn’t take it. I was left in severe pain with nowhere to go and advised to see my GP on Monday. On Monday morning I contacted my GP and was told by reception I couldn’t see a doctor until Thursday afternoon. I did not qualify for a GP call back either. I felt absolutely despaired. The staff at out of hours were lovely and very apologetic.
