There was a lot of delay for the ENT doctors to arrive. I came to emergency at around 6 am, i was attended by the emergency doctor quite soon, he talked to the ENT doctor and with his advice prescribed be some blood tests. After the blood tests I was taken inside to see the ENT doctor around 10-10:30am. But they came very late around 1:30 pm. After which they gave me an incomplete prescription for which I had to wait again till 3:30pm for them to come and correct the prescription. I left the hospital at around 4:15pm after collecting my medicines. It took 10 hrs for an emergency treatment, which was terrible. I had lot of pain which didn't subside with the painkillers given in emergency, and the nurses were not bothered with that at all. They were just busy just taking vitals mechanically but not bothered with how the patient is actually feeling.

Suggested improvements
For the nurses....Please deal with the patients in front of you once in a while instead of seeming so busy with just taking measurements and recording it on your computer. For the ENT doctors....you might be busy but certainly someone waiting to be seen in emergency should be seen sooner, and don't forget to prescribe painkillers to someone in lot of pain.

I take medication for anxiety and depression

The call handler gave me an appointment time to attend (over the phone on 111) then on arrival at the hospital/urgent care centre, I was told it was a 2-3 hour wait. Surely the appointment times could’ve been adjusted?

Because I was told to come as an urgent high risk. Came and was told it’s a 4 hour delay so I went home. Nobody told me it was delayed prior to arrival otherwise I wouldn’t have brought my child with me.

Man on reception rude and abrupt when asking how many people in front of me as he said wait time around an hour. I asked about the queue 1 hr and 15 mins after checking in. Went on to wait nearly 2hrs despite having an appointment arranged through 111

Suggested improvements
Call people when wait time is over an hour. This would reduce the amount of people in urgent cares cramped, small and over crowded waiting room. Also prevent germs be passsed across to each other

I went at the appointment time I was given and was told there were 78 people before me and a 3.5 hour wait and it could get longer. There were hardly any seats, it was very hot and stuffy. People were laid in the corridor (entrance passageway) people laid there with sick bowls. I thought an appointment time was roughly what time you would be seen so why make an appointment. The male receptionist didn’t seem interested at all and his advice was to go back home, ring again and be given a further appointment for the next day. Why? When clearly appointment times don’t mean anything. Complete waste of time. At that time no one knew if I had sepsis or not as the first person said I needed care within two hours but nobody was interested. All in all a very poor ridiculous system.

Suggested improvements
Triage people on arrival to ascertain urgency of consultation. I do not think that I had the duty of care I should have received
