This was a follow up consultation,and I was content with the options provided to me
We were greeted by a large number of staff upon arrival, we already knew how much the consultation fee would be and we we are more than happy with our Consultant who my husband has been seeing for a number of years, previously at the private rooms of the National Hospital for Neurology at Queen Square, London Worryingly, there does seem to be a problem with aftercare administration. Since coming to the Cleveland Clinic in November, we have had no official confirmation letter regarding the details of that appointment more importantly during that Consultation my husband's prescription was changed and we have had no official confirmation of this change, either by email or written notification. I did phone the Clinic after a few weeks to let them know that this was the case and the person to whom I spoke assured me she would contact someone in admin to remedy this. To-date we have received no further communication with regard to the Consultation and prescription change. If the Clinic is having problems recruiting permanent office staff, use agency staff in the interim.
Regarding overall cleanliness, in the waiting area prior to seeing the Consultant, there were used beverage cups littering tables adjacent to the chairs which no member of staff had bothered to remove. We hadn't ordered the drinks so they just remained there during the l5 minutes or so that we were sitting in that particular waiting area.

I had a CT scan. Aman and Kevin who gave it to me were both excellent and delightful.
Everything was very well carried out and they are both most professional, caring and communicative. It could not have been better. All other staff were also very good.

Efficient and helpful staff
I was frustrated that my scans were not ordered in time for my first appointment and the appointment was cancelled 1 hour before my attending. I then called the hospital that undertook my scans to make sure they would be there for the following day. Unfortunately the consultant was unable to view all of the scans due to some technical errors which could not be resolved at the time of my appointment. I now have to wait for the scans to be reviewed and get further advice on next steps.
I think if the scans had been received earlier these issues could have been resolved before I attended my appointment.
Everything was as I would expect and was a lovely experience with the exception of the woman on reception and the three men manning the door. The woman on reception was cold and didn't listen and interrupted me while I was speaking both on the way in and on the way out. When I corrected her about information she gave me that was wrong she said "that's not how this works". She then carried on and discovered that she was using wrong information.
When I was leaving reception an elderly man and his wife and son were entering. The elderly man was clearly the patient. The wife was told to leave and wasn't allowed in as there was already one person accompanying her husband. I consoled her on the street in the rain where she was very upset that she wasn't allowed to be with her husband because of Covid rules. She explained that they'd driven hours to get there and now she was left on her own on the street. There was absolutely no compassion shown to this woman.
