My stay at the Cleveland Clinic was almost futuristic! Exceptionally clean areas throughout, using IT systems where all the information was at your fingertips, I never sensed any frustration from the staff with the systems. The nurses were so knowledgeable and compassionate I felt safe and genuinely cared for by them. All my doctors and surgeons were exceptionally talented and confident with perfect manners and displaying a sense of humor which made the stay so remarkable.
I never felt alone and always monitored for any changes to my health. The food was nice, but I started to run out of options at the end.

Doctors and all the other staff was amazing I can not find any fault at all . after my operation I was two night in intensive care the care was absolutely amazing doctors and nurses did amazing job they were there 24/7 .
Third day I was transferred to the 5th floor and care and treatment I received there was 5 star.
I strongly recommend Cleaveland Clinic to the people/ patients who need 5 star care.
I pay my regards to Dr Quarto amazing cardiologist Surgeon and his Team.

This was my second operation at this hospital. My first experience was outstanding but this visit wasn't as good.
On arrival there was a new/inexperienced HCA or nurse. He seemed unsure and wasn't able to find the right words to describe a cuff to take blood pressure. Later the nurse informed me that he was a new member of bank staff. I was very relieved when this bank staff member finished their shift as I didn't feel confident in their abilities to check my vitals.
Later in the day after my surgery, I asked a nurse/HCA (unsure which) if I could have an anti-emetic as I felt nauseous, this member of staff was confused by my request and didn't know what an anti-emetic was. I found this worrying as I'd expect staff working with patients out of surgery to know what an anti-emetic is since nausea is common following surgery.
The overnight nurse however was fantastic and I felt I was in safe hands with her. She was also bank staff but very experienced.
The next day, I was asked by a nurse what time I'd like discharge and I said mid-afternoon. I was then asked by another nurse who informed me that discharge should be at 11am.
From 1200 onwards, I had to repeatedly use the call button to either request meds, drinks and for updates on my discharge and was eventually discharged at 7pm. I was told that I needed to be seen by both pharmacy and a doctor. In the end I didn't see a doctor and was given my discharge papers by a nurse and handed by medications by pharmacy. Due to insistence on staff that I would be discharged soon, I had not ordered dinner and so left the hospital extremely tired and without a meal arriving home at 10pm.
It seemed like there was a lot of mis-communication on this visit and inexperienced staff.

All medical care when delivered was excellent but I was not always kept informed of times of treatment which led to anxiety. Eg I thought my operation was first on the list at 8am and arrived at 6.30 am as requested. First on the list for my Consultant turned out to be 9.45 and I was not informed of this until I pressed nurses for info. The second day after the op I didn’t know when the physios were coming and panicked about this too. When they finally came I we fixed times for subsequent sessions which was much better.
