All the staff in every department we were polite and pleasant and I was kept informed of every proceedure they were undertaking. The doctor who treated me explained the procedure he was doing and was very reassuring.
Easy to contact and speak to a team who know exactly what needs to be done.
Often there’s many barriers to finding the individual or team you need to speak to, however the dietetics team have this in hand
I attended the Jephenson Building today for an outpatient appointment 28th June 10:20. Although the medical care I received was very good experience, however I had to deal with the receptionist who was truly awful. Very rude and short tempered when asking a simple question and made to feel extremely uncomfortable to the point where the manager had to be called to deescalate the situation. The receptionist called Mary when I arrived greeted me with hostility as apparently she was counting (how was I supposed to know this). I was simply asking if I could wait in reception as I wanted to check I was in the correct building to collect a patient and she continued to say, that she was not able to give patient information, and this was not what I was asking for and advised I could not wait in reception, however I did not know there was another room I wait in as this was only explained when the consultant came to speck to me. When I was being escorted to another room Mary was just with another colleague in reception giving me what can only be described as dirty look. I felt like a total inconvenience even to the point where she was slamming the draws of the printer. So in the end I went and waited in the car park which was unsafe and full of trucks and workmen. Would not like return to Warwick hospital as feel I have to to deal with a hostile receptionist. These people should NOT be your front of house (in my opinion) to the NHS which is caring for the country.
From the time I saw Dr Joseph in gynaecology outpatients earlier this year following a referral by my GP for unusual bleeding and then Miss Amarad who made sure that I was offered a hysterectomy following an exploratory procedure as a day surgery case and then a follow up in her clinic, to the nurse I saw for my pre-op assessment and then Ms Raghavan and her team who performed my hysterectomy on 21st June and all the nurses and other staff on the Day Surgery Centre and then the 23 hour ward at Warwick Hospital, everyone has been incredible. I cannot praise the care and attention I have received enough. Everything was carefully explained, my views sought, nothing was too much trouble and I have been treated with dignity and respect at all times. I cannot believe how well I feel after only a few days, all credit to Ms Raghavan and her team. Thank you to everyone for everything you did for me. I cannot praise you enough.
The staff put my mind at ease with their patience and kindness
Throughout the 2 hours I was in the department I was treated with so much care and respect. I was triaged smoothly as it was query stroke but eventually diagnosed as Bells Palsy.
Dr Ahmed was extremely thorough, kind, compassionate and explained every detail.
We are so lucky to have this department.
Consultant that’s saw me during labour was rude and I compassionate
Had to wait to have a dedicated midwife in early stage of labour due to there not being one available
In order for baby to receive discharge checks, I had to walk from labour to bluebell pushing my baby after a c section.
Also I was given my hospital notes to carry.
All of about was good
I was checked in at the outpatients reception by an incredibly rude woman, with an attitude the likes of which should have no place in the NHS. I’ve never been treated with so much disdain in all my life. This made for a thoroughly unpleasant experience from the outset.
I have been coming to the Aylesford Unit for more than 3 years including a number of admissions to various wards.
I have almost always had a positive experience and feel staff do their best in involving you and giving you the best care.
I am never shy away from giving both positive and negative feedback and they are both accepted gracefully.
Some areas where improvements can be made are food and drink, specially making sure drinks are warm when served..
Regarding Haematology consultation and treatment, I cannot say enough about Dr Randall, she is the best.
