Requested call back from optician to discuss eye problem, she was never given the message. Test results were not sent to the eye hospital even after being requested by the eye hospital. Call back from the optician promised by the staff in the shop to discuss problems never happened. Very very disappointed.

The optometrist was friendly, made me feel at ease, and very thorough in her checks. All the staff were friendly and professional. Very happy with the eye test itself. I don't like feeling "railroaded" into purchasing new glasses there and then. Whilst the staff insisted there was no pressure to buy from them, you are taken from the consultation and delivered straight into the hands of a sales person.

The explanation of what I needed was very quick and before I knew it I had committed to spending £400 on a new pair of lenses (note: I re-used my existing frames). I was charged this before being provided with a breakdown or having a discussion as to whether this was value for money (what were the alternatives?). Looking at my receipt, £124 of this is for the new lenses leaving £276 for dispensing. On my last visit I was charged £90 for dispensing and lenses. I am aware I have gone for more expensive lenses but that increase in dispensing is incredible! Constantly felt I was being upsold with very little explanation of what I needed as a baseline and what was a nice to have or what the alternatives were. Unfortunately I was too bamboozled at the time to query the cost but having got home and looked up my previous charges I feel very aggrieved and will consider cancelling my order. I cannot recommend Boots Opticians at this moment.

Really good service, tests and checks were good and clear instructions given, after the test other staff available to help with decision making when it came to the glasses! Really helpful and friendly staff.

The people on reception were friendly and polite. There was a delay in seeing the optometrist as we were told that a staff member had had to leave unexpectedly for a family emergency. This was only made clear after the eye test had been completed. The staff let me know about the various options for lenses such as enhanced scratch protection and insurance to cover breakage but did not push it on us at all.

All the staff that I dealt with were really friendly and helpful. A thorough examination was carried out of my eyes and this was done with care and without rushing the appointment. All options were fully explained to me.
