Boots Opticians Tamworth - Ankerside Centre

This was my first visit to this store. Fantastic service and excellent customer care.

I had made it clear that I would be in a rush when I booked the appointment (I was coming to ankerside as there were no appointments available that week at Ventura park) however I was kept waiting over 20 minutes past my appointment time whilst staff chatted (some seemed to be planning their next social event). I have had over 4 appointments in the last month at Ventura park to change my contact lenses and have seen a different optician every time, none of whom seem to be able to interpret the notes of the previous optician and we have started from scratch. Very time consuming, no continuity and certainly not satisfactory.

My mother is elderly and in a wheel chair. staff very patient and acccomodating

The lady who dealt with me was sharp and abrupt with me and made me feel uncomfortable and as if I was an inconvenience to her - as a result of this I will be cancelling my future contact lenses with Boots and will be looking for another provider who treats me better.

All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the optometrist was professional, thorough and had a very good patient manner i was most impressed. I do feel some of the equipment could be updated such as the eye pressure machine as it was very noisy and disconcerning for me, although the optician assured me and put my mind at ease that this was normal for this machine but it looked quite outdated compared with other opticians i have been to.

I wouldn't change anything. Everything was very straightforward. Everyone was very friendly.

I am already a patient at the branch, not due for an eye test just yet but had a real worrying eye problem. Called in and just happened to have a cancellation within half an hour so arranged to go back. Treated really well from the start. From initial assistant staff member who carried out tests beforehand through to the excellent full eye check optometrist said she was carrying out. All done with care, professionalism and respect. Really made to feel welcome. Did have a new prescription as upgrade is required and will obtain new glasses. Main thing was my mind was put at rest from the original problem l sought advice on. Wonderfully treated, thank you very much.

Everyone was very patient as I chose glasses and explained all my options. I was helped to choose glasses too as it's hard to choose when you are on your own. It was a very thorough eye test too

It was very detailed visit. The optometrist was very friendly and informative and told me about new contact lens available but was not pushy. She explained everything that she was going to do and asked me lots of questions and I felt very at ease with her. I have seen this lady on a previous visit and hope my next visit is with her as she is very good
