Boots Opticians Mere Green

I'm always greeted with a friendly smile in this branch. The staff are extremely polite and welcoming and whilst Boots are not necessarily the cheapest , I feel I receive a good service.

Everything was great. No improvements needed!

Whilst I can’t fault the very helpful and friendly nature of the shop staff the optometrist was very officious. I mentioned this to my wife after my first visit but was then surprised and shocked on my second visit that an elderly lady in front of had the need to say to the optician ‘why are you so aggressive?’!! My other concern only came to light when on my final visit to collect my new prescription I noticed on the receipt that this branch is actually a franchise and not operated directly by Boots!! This would account for the ‘hard sell’ of eye drops and hot eye compress!! This is not what I would normally expect from a Boots optician and in future I think that you should make it known that specific branches are franchises. I will certainly review using Boots in the future before attending my next appointment
