Had a pair of glasses which were bifocal and also transitions last year. After about 7 months noticed smudges on the glass. This quickly got worse and the coating on my glasses started to crack and had all lines on them,making it very difficult to see properly. I had had spinal surgery at the time and was unable to go to store.I was told to go in when I was able. After Christmas I went into the store to show them my glasses and was told that the coating had disintegrated. I am just over the 12 months warranty,but this problem started after 7 months!! I just couldn’t visit the store being unable to walk. I was told that there is nothing they can do for me and will not replace the glasses. Very poor customer care.Obviously money is more important to them than a customer who can only see through their glasses properly for 7 months! Glasses cost over £200. I wanted to attach a photo but will not allow,just to see how bad they are.

I would recommend boots opticians they are really helpful and talk you through your eye test and I had never had an exray of my eyes before and it is really interesting to see . All of the staff were really pleasent and helpful

Got told I have cataracts in one eye. But didn't receive any other further information. Just see you in 2 years. I feel like I need more information on this and advice on what could possibly need to happen in the future.

Eye test was very comprehensive and informative and also picked up previous complaints and gave advice to follow if these problems reoccurred, however I was surprised that I was not offered any of the promotions that you have on at the moment i.e. over 60s discounts or 1/2 priced second pair of glasses it was only after arriving home did I find out about these from a family member
